This contributes to the end of traditional air conditioning, which not only consumes more energy but generates residual heat that intensifies urban heat islands. The equipment is manufactured in Grenoble, France, with more than 75% of the components sourced within a 400 km radius. Despite the advantages, the technology’s effectiveness is lower in high-humidity regions. Performance is directly related to dew point temperature, which restricts its efficiency in humid tropical cities, although it remains viable in dry climate locations. This challenge requires studies to adapt the system to different climatic conditions.

Water Consumption And Environmental Impacts

According to company estimates, the system demands about 1 to 2 m³ of water during a four-month summer, equivalent to fifteen showers. Although it is a relatively small amount, water management is a point to consider in regions with scarcity. Still, the impact is significantly lower than that of conventional technologies.

High Initial Investment And Future Energy Savings

With an estimated price between €2,500 and €3,000 (around R$ 13,500 to R$ 16,000), the cost is higher than that of conventional units. However, the energy savings over time and the absence of complex maintenance can offset the acquisition cost. In the long term, this investment may be more advantageous than maintaining a traditional system.
