The New Chery SUV Arrives in the Automotive Market with a Wide Range of Standard Equipment and Advanced Technologies, Outperforming Its Rivals. Meet the Chery iCAR 03, the Electric Car That Has a Consumption Equivalent to 60 km/l.

Although reminiscent of the old Land Rovers with its angular design, the Chery iCAR 03 is considered a futuristic model compared to the classic British vehicle. Launched at the end of February, this new Chery SUV has just been equipped with Level 2+ autonomous driving, developed by the drone manufacturer DJI. This integration of new technologies promises to revolutionize the driving experience and position the iCAR 03 as one of the most advanced vehicles in the automotive market.

New Chery SUV Delivers Up to 279 hp of Power

The new technologies include urban and highway driving assistance, automatic parking, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane departure warning and correction, blind spot monitoring, sign and signal recognition, frontal and rear collision alerts, and navigation function for up to ten routes, each with a maximum length of 150 kilometers.

These are unimaginable luxuries in a Jeep Compass, a model that has the same dimensions as the new Chery SUV in the automotive market but costs 50% more.

Despite being less powerful, with 185 hp compared to the 279 hp of the Chery iCar 03, the Compass costs R$ 179,900, while the more expensive version of the iCar 03, the Intelligent Driving Edition, is priced at 159,800 yuan, equivalent to R$ 118,455.

Moreover, its torque of 32.9 mkgf is 20% higher than that of the Compass and is available almost instantly, but it is in efficiency that the new Chery SUV stands out in the automotive market.

Its electricity consumption is equivalent to 59.8 km/l, which can translate into savings of up to 490% for its owner, while the Jeep does not exceed 12.1 km/l in road use, using gasoline as fuel.

New Chery iCAR 03 Can Go from 0 to 100 km/h in Just 6.5 Seconds

Weighing almost two tons, the new Chery SUV does not stand out in performance, but it can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3 seconds and from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5, surpassing the Compass, which reaches 8.8 seconds. The Chinese model can achieve a top speed of 150 km/h, less than the Jeep vehicle, which delivers 185 km/h.

The Chery iCAR 03 is available in three versions, with ranges of 401, 472, and 501 kilometers, all equipped with LFP batteries (lithium iron phosphate) supplied by the giant CATL.

Just to give an idea, the Compass T270 has an urban range of 426 km when fueled only with ethanol, according to data from Jeep itself. Using a fast charger, it is possible to charge up to 80% of the new Chery SUV in just 30 minutes.

The model features several technologies such as a heated multifunction steering wheel, a driver’s seat with massage and ventilation functions, ambient internal lighting with 64 colors, and much more.

The internal layout is quite clean, creating a refined environment compared to other rivals. The central control screen measures 15.6 inches, has an integrated 8155 chip, embedded WeChat, Huawei’s Hicar system, and AI voice recognition i-VA.
