The Brazilian Multinational Leader in Wind Blade Production, Aeris Energy Plans to Enter the Offshore Wind Energy Market
The Brazilian multinational Aeris Energy has announced plans to enter the offshore wind energy market by 2025. The announcement was made yesterday (05/20) by Bruno Lolli, director of Planning and Investor Relations of the Brazilian manufacturer of blades for wind turbines. The company’s plans are to enhance the offshore plant market in the United States (where it plans to install 30 gigawatts of this source by 2030), as well as in Brazil, which currently has no wind energy projects in this segment. Aeris Energy’s Plans in the Offshore Wind Energy Market
According to Bruno Lolli, the offshore wind energy market worldwide represents less than 10% of the total installations of customers in the segment. The Planning and Investor Relations director stated that almost all blades destined for this market are produced by the generators themselves, but soon the segment will require a higher volume of deliveries, which should compel turbine manufacturing companies to outsource part of the production.
Bruno further stated that with the strong growth of the offshore wind energy segment, particularly in the northeastern United States, Aeris Energy is expected to enter this market in the next 3 to 4 years. It was also mentioned that the company does not intend to become a wind turbine manufacturer or verticalize the production chain but aims to develop blades longer than 100 meters.

Aeris Energy Targets the Equipment Supply Market for Offshore Turbines in the United States
The Brazilian manufacturer of wind turbine blades, Aeris Energy, intends to develop a production line for offshore wind turbines in the United States. The news was announced by Bruno Lolli on May 13. Currently, Aeris Energy only produces wind blades for turbines in onshore wind power plants. In view of business expansion, the company, which currently produces in the state of Ceará, sees the United States as a new partner.
The executive noted that last week, the U.S. government approved the first large-scale offshore wind energy project in Massachusetts, which will have 62 giant turbines. Bruno also stated, “We know that sales for the offshore wind energy market are heating up, especially in the American market on the Atlantic coast, so we will indeed begin negotiations and discussions to start producing for offshore. The offshore market in the U.S. is a super important market, and we will participate in this market.”
Currently, Aeris produces blades up to 80 meters long at its factory in Pecém, while newly launched offshore wind turbines range from 110 to 115 meters in length. However, Lolli stated that the company is already preparing for large-scale equipment to achieve a new generation of onshore turbines and future offshore parks.
