Consumers Remain Dissatisfied and Afraid of the Rise in Gasoline Prices at the Only Gas Station in Fernando de Noronha. Director of the Gas Station in Noronha States That the Situation Is Scaring Customers
After the new adjustment by Petrobras, the price of gasoline per liter in Fernando de Noronha increased and started to scare consumers. The price went from R$ 9.39 to about R$ 9.66 last Sunday (31). Throughout the year, this was the 16th adjustment in fuel prices. Fernando de Noronha currently only has one gas station, managed by the company Ecopostos. In the last week of October, Petrobras announced this latest adjustment. The price of gasoline per liter increased by 7.04% at refineries, and due to the fact that the state-owned company’s adjustment can only be applied when the gasoline lands at the port in Fernando de Noronha, the pass-through of price increases to consumers only happened a few days later.
