Among the future attractions is the Asaan Misk Heritage Museum. Its construction will be a way to honor the country’s traditions. The building will be located in Diriyah, a city near the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The idea is that the entire design of the building will be created from mud bricks sourced from the region. Construction work started recently. Saudi authorities have not announced a timeline for the museum’s inauguration.

The Ancient Technique Of Mud Construction In The Desert

The construction of the museum will be done using a very traditional method. The use of mud bricks aims to cool the environment in the desert. The method involves mixing clay, straw, and water. This mixture was baked in the sun to harden it. However, no further details about the construction project have been disclosed.

Immersive Exhibitions And Cultural Preservation

The Asaan Misk Heritage Museum was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. In total, the space will cover 40,000 square meters. It will feature three shaded courtyards. There will be several wings: Educational, Artistic, and Administrative. The idea is for the museum to house extensive collections of cultural artifacts. This will occur through immersive exhibitions and displays. A conservation laboratory is also planned. It will be used to restore and preserve ancient objects and artworks from the country.
