The maritime and port solutions company Norsul has formed a partnership with the Atlântico Sul shipyard during its participation in NavalShore 2022. Norsul Signs Contract with Atlântico Sul During NavalShore 2022 for the Supply of Docking Services and Improvements in Vessel Navigation Logistics
The NavalShore 2022 fair, held from August 16 to 18 of this month, featured the participation of several major players in the naval market of Latin America and a series of new agreements made between them.
The companies Norsul and Atlântico Sul were present at the event and took another step to strengthen their relationship, signing a contract for docking services at the shipyard’s facilities aimed at improving operational logistics.

Norsul currently has a fleet of 21 vessels, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro with offices in Santa Catarina and Espírito Santo, conducting a series of cargo transportation operations such as bauxite, cellulose, and steel.
With the new contract signed with Atlântico Sul, Norsul’s Fleet Manager, Leonardo Brum, stated that the second contract with the company could further boost the Brazilian naval industry by generating new jobs and economic development.
The executive highlighted that the docking services at the shipyard’s facilities will allow for a considerable logistical improvement for vessel movement operations. This is because it will now be possible to carry out a transfer in just three days of navigation for vessels departing from the North and Northeast.
Thus, the reduction in operational time not only ensures lower business costs but also minimizes environmental impacts by reducing fuel consumption. Therefore, the agreement between Atlântico Sul and Norsul will also be essential for greater sustainability in activities.
Atlântico Sul Now Focuses on Vessel Docking and Celebrates Partnership with Norsul for Improvements in Navigation Logistics
Atlântico Sul started working in the repair segment in October 2020, and during this short period, it has already established itself in the market, securing a series of high-relevance clients in the Brazilian naval sector.
However, a very positive problem the company is currently facing is excess demand compared to its operational capacity. Thus, the company is investing in expanding its production capacity to ensure an even greater presence in the national market.
In this way, the CEO of Atlântico Sul Heavy Industry Solutions, Nicole Terpins, highlighted: “We know the level of demand in terms of quality and speed from Norsul and we are very pleased to see the company returning to carry out the second docking at the shipyard. I usually say we are in a constant process of learning and continuous improvement. Having Norsul back as our client represents not just a new project, but the chance for us to do even more and better.”
The company and Norsul will now join forces to develop the best vessel docking services and aim to boost the Brazilian port and naval sector over the coming months, focusing on logistics and cost reduction.
