Quinto Energy’s Statement Took Place on Friday (19), During the Prestigious Bahia-China Forum, an Event Focused on Cooperation in Studies, Projects, and Business.
Bahia is on its way to establish itself as the global giant in green fuel production. Rafael Cavalcanti, CEO of Quinto Energy, proclaims Bahia as the most promising land for the global energy industry, due to its unique potentials. It is worth noting that even Ceará already has a green hydrogen fertilizer plant scheduled for construction in 2024.
The announcement was made on Friday (19) at the Bahia-China Forum for Cooperation in Studies, Projects, and Business. The event, organized by the state government, was attended by representatives from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China and major Chinese companies in the energy sector, such as CGN, BYD, and Petrochina.
TV Aratu’s Report on the Event:
-
While heat evaporates water from reservoirs and countries seek new areas for clean energy, Morocco is testing floating solar panels that function as an energy lid and also generate electricity.
-
Mato Grosso surprises Brazil by breaking a historical record and becoming the country’s largest biodiesel producer, transforming corn and soy into a billion-dollar energy powerhouse.
-
China occupies the desert with a 2 GW solar power plant in Inner Mongolia, installs elevated panels that create shade and humidity over the sand, and transforms a 2.96 billion kWh per year farm into an unexpected weapon against desertification.
-
Saudi Arabia is building in Oxagon a US$ 8.4 billion mega green hydrogen plant with 4 GW of solar and wind energy, 5.6 million solar panels, and capacity to produce 600 tons per day, transforming the desert into one of the planet’s largest clean fuel factories.
With Optimism, Quinto Energy Envisions the Future Through Green Fuels in Bahia
Quinto Energy sees a future where Bahia goes beyond discussions about the viability of green hydrogen and enters the era of producing H2V derivatives. “Our strategic location offers ideal conditions for renewable energy generation.
Bahia already has adequate infrastructure, with ports for chemical transport and a petrochemical hub considered the largest Interlinked Industrial Complex in the Southern Hemisphere. The government is committed to ensuring legal security for sector enterprises.
And, more importantly, projects in wind, solar, and green hydrogen energy are advancing rapidly,” Rafael explained.
The Event Propelling Commercial Opportunities
The event served as a platform to strengthen trade relations with China, with investors showing interest in various productive sectors of the state of Bahia.
In the energy sector, Quinto Energy’s projects stood out as a model of the progress that Bahia has made. The company is in an advanced stage of developing five hybrid complexes for wind and solar energy generation, totaling an installed capacity of 14 GW.
The Convergence of Potential for Bahia
The CEO of Quinto Energy emphasized Bahia’s capacity to become the leading producer of green fuels derived from hydrogen, such as SAF, e-diesel, e-gasoline, as well as urea used as green fertilizer in agribusiness. All of this demonstrates that Bahia is paving the way to become a major player in the global production of green fuels.
