U.S. Company Announces New Electric Bicycle with Good Range. Ebike Delivers Great Power for Under R$ 10,000.

The company Ride1Up, based in San Diego, just announced on April 29 one of the most anticipated launches in the electric mobility sector: the new Vorsa bicycle, which hits the market with the promise of being the most versatile and customizable ebike currently available. Designed to offer high performance combined with the practicality of urban and daily use, the Vorsa impresses with its capacity to carry up to 200 kg while maintaining stable, comfortable, and safe handling. With smooth electric assistance reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h, the new model also stands out for its excellent range, capable of traveling between 48 and 96 kilometers on a single charge, depending on the mode of use and road conditions. The Vorsa represents yet another bold step from Ride1Up in the electric bicycle market, establishing the brand as a reference in innovation and accessibility within the segment.

Model is Equipped with 750 W Motor

According to the company’s statement, whether for shopping, embarking on your next adventure, or dropping the kids off at school, the bicycle adapts to various lifestyle types with modular precision, robust power, and trail-ready durability.

The new electric bicycle comes equipped with a custom 750 W rear hub motor capable of delivering up to 95 Nm of torque for climbs when necessary, as well as pedal assist reaching speeds of 45 km/h.

The bicycle features a cadence sensor combined with the Intui-Drive contactless torque detection technology. Additionally, its downtube houses a 720 Wh lockable battery made up of UL-certified Samsung 21700 cells, providing a range of up to 96.5 km per charge.

In operation, there is a thumb throttle located on the left side of the handlebars for rolling without pedaling, and a Shimano 8-speed transmission that promises smooth shifts via a shifter mounted on the handlebars, along with more flexible pedaling options. Notably, the 27.5-inch rims of the ebike use 2.6-inch Schwalbe tires to absorb impacts from city streets to trail surfaces.

The model also delivers high braking power thanks to the dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes with motor cutoff, with a 203 mm rotor at the rear and 180 mm at the front. There is also a 100 lux headlight and an integrated brake light in the alloy fender, making day and night rides much safer.

One of the standout features of the new electric bicycle is its maximum payload capacity of 200 kg, in addition to being equipped with a rear rack that can carry up to 68 kg. Other cargo options include a front rack, panniers, an insulated cooler, a padded seat, and a basket.

The ebike’s color display allows for electric adjustments with just a touch and includes AirTag tracking for added peace of mind and security. The LCD panel also provides information such as speed, battery percentage, mileage, and more. The Vorsa, inspired by SUVs, is already available for purchase on the company’s website with step-thru or step-over frame for US$ 1,695, equivalent to R$ 9,000.

About Ride1Up

Ride1Up emerged in 2018 when Kevin Dugger noticed that there were no affordable electric bicycles built with quality and durable materials and components. At the time, any decent ebike seemed out of reach for most people, with most entry-level options starting at US$ 2,000.

As an experienced mechanic and builder, Dugger knew there was an opportunity to create an affordable electric bicycle with quality components. Keeping prices accessible without compromising quality expanded accessibility, allowing more people to experience the benefits of electric vehicles.

At Ride1Up, their success is measured by the experience of their customers, with a commitment to their riders and satisfaction with their products. Thus, although no company is perfect, they work tirelessly to ensure excellent support to make your purchase and riding experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
