Record Beef Cattle Slaughter in Brazil in Q4
According to IBGE, beef cattle in Brazil recorded production of 2.91 million tons of carcasses in Q4 2025. The volume grew 15% compared to the same quarter in 2024 and 1.8% from Q3 2025.
The performance consolidates the highest level for the period in the series, combining significant annual growth and slight seasonal retraction in the quarterly comparison.

Carcass production follows the increase in beef cattle slaughter in Brazil. The total of 2.91 million tons reinforces the growth compared to the previous year, maintaining expansion even with the fluctuation compared to the immediately previous quarter.
The data is part of the official survey released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics.
Pig Slaughter Totals 14.77 Million Heads
In the 4th quarter of last year, pig slaughter reached 14.77 million heads. This result represents an increase of 2.3% compared to the same quarter of the previous year and a reduction of 6.6% from Q3 2025.
The accumulated carcass weight was 1.35 million tons, up 2.1% from 2024 and down 9.0% from the previous quarter.
Chicken Records 1.69 Billion Heads Slaughtered
Chicken slaughter totaled 1.69 billion heads in Q4 2025. The result was 3.9% higher than the same period of the previous year and showed a reduction of 0.2% from Q3.
The accumulated carcass weight reached 3.54 million tons, with an increase of 4.7% in annual comparison and a decrease of 1.6% from the immediately previous quarter.
