Gasoline Half The Price In Argentina Creates Lines Of Brazilians And Fuel Sales To Foreigners Are Limited To 15 Liters In Puerto Iguazú.
The Argentine government has decided to limit gasoline sales in the city that borders Brazil. The measure aims to curb the rush of Brazilians to gas stations in the city of Puerto Iguazú, a neighboring municipality to the city of Foz do Iguaçu, in the State of Paraná. The demand is so high that gas stations have started accepting payments in reais instead of Argentine pesos.

Now, Brazilians Can Only Buy 15 Liters Of Gasoline.
The sale of gasoline to foreigners is limited to 15 liters to prevent shortages in the Argentine city, given that the price of gasoline in Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) is almost half of that found in the neighboring city of Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil), where the fuel is sold on average for R$ 6.90.

In addition to Brazilians, Argentine gas stations have also attracted Paraguayans, who have been paying approximately R$ 4.10 per liter of gasoline. The idea is precisely to deter Brazilians and Paraguayans from refueling locally, as the gas stations have a maximum quota.
