This event, held in cooperation with Sebrae-RJ, attracted over 410 registrations and essentially targeted micro and small businesses in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Braskem’s presence reinforces its commitment to supporting and strengthening small businesses in the oil, gas, oil market, energy, and petrochemical sectors.

This initiative aims to strengthen the supplier industry in the oil, gas, energy and petrochemical sectors, promoting greater interaction between large consumers and local suppliers, especially in Rio de Janeiro.

The event is a free opportunity aimed at the value chain suppliers, buyers, Firjan-associated entrepreneurs, and other companies interested in the sector. The Vice President of Firjan Caxias, Henrique Osório, opened the meeting, emphasizing the relevance of the event for promoting business among companies of various sizes and profiles and the main players in the market.
Promising Perspectives in the Petrochemical and Energy Market
Osório emphasized: ‘There is a forecast of R$ 200 billion in investments in the oil, gas, energy, and maritime markets in the state of Rio de Janeiro. These are opportunities that could benefit the value chain, and we must not miss these essential chances for economic development.’
Following the event, Celso Ramos, coordinator of Procurement, Technology and Innovation at Braskem, presented a comprehensive overview of the company’s procurement ecosystem. He detailed the purchasing procedures for both Braskem’s Fluminense unit and at the national level, highlighting how this could benefit small and medium-sized enterprises interested in collaborating with the petrochemical giant.
Technological Innovation Driven by Braskem
Celso Ramos also highlighted the key acquisition processes and the growing importance of 3D printing. This technology has been effectively meeting the demand for hard-to-find or expensive parts, offering innovative and cost-effective solutions. ‘As the Procurement Lead for Braskem in the RJ region, I greatly believe in the Program because it allows us not only to stimulate the Fluminense economy, but also to interact with the local market in search of greater competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability in our way of doing business,’ Celso stated, reinforcing Braskem’s commitment to local and technological development.
Braskem Fosters Opportunities and Business Connections
During the meeting, Braskem also presented various purchasing opportunities and detailed the requirements needed to become an authorized supplier for the company. In the final phase of the event, members of Braskem’s Procurement team in Rio de Janeiro met with approximately 110 representatives from the participating companies in business roundtables. This segment of the event served as a valuable space for commercial networking, enhancing future business partnerships.
The initiative, in addition to fostering the local economy, aims to create a more integrated and sustainable ecosystem for all actors in the value chain, thus promoting a more dynamic and innovative business environment.
