Ocyan holds an innovation event with debates on the oil and gas sector, new energies and new businesses

The event will be attended by market experts, academics and specialized consultants.

Ocyan holds, this Tuesday (15), the third edition of Innovation Day, an event that opens space for debates on topics that drive the innovation market in the oil and gas, and energy sectors. The Innovation Day will take place at Inovateca, in the Technological Park of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and the public will be able to follow the activities on Ocyan's YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@ocyansa).

“We are on our way to the third edition of the Innovation Day, which shows that the market has embraced our initiative. Dealing with innovation in the oil and gas market is essential for the challenges that will arise in the coming years, such as new energy projects and decarbonization. Having the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge is very enriching for everyone”, celebrates Patricia Grabowsky, manager innovation and digital transformation executive at Ocyan.

The event begins with face-to-face conversations for guests, with round tables commanded by representatives of companies such as Petrobras, Repsol Sinopec, Valetec and Ocyan. Among the subjects to be addressed are: good practices for raising funds for innovation; processes and metrics; deeptech; intrapreneurship; and the role of hydrogen in the energy transition.

“In the morning, taking advantage of the fact that Ocyan is now part of the group of companies that maintain the UFRJ Technological Park and with the aim of strengthening this partnership that gives us the opportunity to connect with startups, hubs and reference laboratories, we will visit the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Biosynthetics and Fibers.” explain Lívia Savignon, Innovation Coordinator from Ocyan.

In the afternoon, there will be three “Specialists Meetings” which will have as themes: “Technological innovation as a lever of energy evolution”; “Strategic governance of innovation in large corporations”; and “Corporate venture Building: accelerating corporate growth from the inside out”. The panels will feature guests from ABEEólica (Brazilian Association of Wind Energy and New Technologies); Abiogás (Brazilian Gas Association); Innoscience; Energy Cup; Eletrobras; Oxygea; Braskem and Ocyan.
