The Event Will Feature Participation from Market Specialists, Academics, and Specialized Consultancies
Ocyan is holding the third edition of Innovation Day this Tuesday (15), an event that opens up space for discussions on topics driving the innovation market in the oil and gas, and energy sectors. Innovation Day will take place at Inovateca, in the Technology Park of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and the public will be able to follow the activities on Ocyan’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@ocyansa).
“We are on our way to the third edition of Innovation Day, which shows that the market has embraced our initiative. Addressing innovation in the oil and gas market is essential for the challenges that lie ahead in the coming years, such as new energy projects and decarbonization. Having the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge is very enriching for everyone,” celebrates Patrícia Grabowsky, executive manager of innovation and digital transformation at Ocyan.
The event begins with in-person conversations for invited guests, featuring round tables led by representatives from companies such as Petrobras, Repsol Sinopec, Valetec, and Ocyan. Among the topics that will be addressed are: best practices for securing funding for innovation; processes and metrics; deeptech; intrapreneurship; and the role of hydrogen in the energy transition.

The sea may advance faster than imagined: a 1-meter rise in ocean levels could leave up to 132 million people below the waterline, while a flaw present in over 99% of coastal analyses suggests that the real risk is already being underestimated.

SpaceX admits that the idea of taking artificial intelligence servers into space could run into something simple and inevitable: the laws of physics, which make the project more complex than it seemed.

Mars may once have been covered by an immense ocean, but today it displays on its surface the mark of an “empty bathtub” which suggests a colossal disappearance of water and rekindles one of the greatest mysteries of the red planet.

China is setting up its own “Manhattan Project” in a secret operation the size of an entire factory to copy the most complex machine on the planet, challenge Western dominance, and definitively enter the war for the world’s most advanced chips.
“Also in the morning, taking advantage of Ocyan now being part of the group of companies that maintain the Technology Park of UFRJ and with the aim of strengthening this partnership that provides us the opportunity to connect with startups, hubs, and reference laboratories, we will visit the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Biosynthetics and Fibers,” explains Lívia Savignon, Innovation Coordinator at Ocyan.
In the afternoon, three “Specialist Meetings” will be held, covering topics such as: “Technological Innovation as a Driver of Energy Evolution”; “Strategic Governance of Innovation in Large Corporations”; and “Corporate Venture Building: Accelerating Corporate Growth from the Inside Out.” The panels will feature guests from ABEEólica (Brazilian Wind Energy Association and New Technologies); Abiogás (Brazilian Gas Association); Innoscience; Copa Energia; Eletrobras; Oxygea; Braskem, and Ocyan.
