With an Increase of 21% in Production, the Company Reveals the Secrets Behind the Extraordinary Results in the Fields of Atlanta and Papa-Terra in the Second Quarter of 2025.
Brava Energia, a Brazilian giant in the energy sector, has just redefined its own standards. The company has not only grown but has achieved a historic record in production in the second quarter of 2025 (2Q25), driven by exceptional performance from its offshore assets. The results point to a new era of efficiency and productive capacity.
The Impressive Numbers of Brava Energia
Brava Energia achieved a remarkable feat in 2Q25. Total production reached a daily average of 85,900 barrels of oil equivalent (boe), representing a 21% increase compared to the previous quarter. Of this volume, the offshore segment was the star performer, contributing 51,600 barrels per day.
The Field That Became the Crown Jewel of Production
The main driver of this growth was the Atlanta field, located in the Santos Basin. The asset achieved its highest quarterly production level in history, averaging approximately 36,000 boe/d. This success is attributed to precise adjustments and tests in operational systems, preparing the field for even greater capacity.

Million-Dollar Sales and the Revitalization of the Papa-Terra Field
The Papa-Terra field, in the Campos Basin, also played a crucial role, recording its best quarterly performance since the first quarter of 2021. The financial result matched the production: Brava Energia sold a total of 3.93 million barrels of oil from its offshore assets during the period. Sales were divided as follows:
- Atlanta: 2.36 million barrels
- Papa-Terra: 1.07 million barrels
- Parque das Conchas: 492,000 barrels
FPSO Atlanta: The Power Behind the New Operational Phase
The operation in Atlanta is supported by the modern FPSO Atlanta, which commenced operations on December 31, 2024. The vessel is a true powerhouse, with a capacity to produce up to 50,000 barrels of oil per day, treat 140,000 barrels of water, and store up to 1.6 million barrels of oil. Currently, the company is finalizing the interconnection of two new wells (2H and 3H), with completion expected in the first half of July.
Challenges and Strategic Decisions in the Fields of Manati and Parque das Conchas
Meanwhile, the Manati field, one of Brazil’s largest non-associated natural gas fields, resumed operations in May, albeit with challenges to reach full capacity and a brief interruption due to weather. In an important strategic decision, Brava Energia confirmed in May that it will no longer sell this asset.
