More safety for offshore professionals in Macaé, the Oil and Derivatives Commission of the Bar Association of Brazil (OAB) in the city signed an agreement with the Bureau Veritas Group, to develop a guide with technical and legal instructions on hygiene for the Oil and Gas Industry of the platforms in the Campos Basin, Rio de Janeiro.
The Restart Your Business with BV program aims to provide support during this pandemic period, ensuring adequate health, safety, and hygiene conditions for offshore workers.

According to Bureau Veritas, the initiative follows protocols developed by specialists observing the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).
“Focusing on the safe resumption of the economy, the guide will support the gradual return of oil activities, ensuring compliance with good hygiene practices, social distancing, as well as certifying and preparing teams for all preventive measures required at this time.” says BV in a statement.
The guide with instructions will be available for free download on the OAB Macaé website or on the Bureau Veritas website to ensure access for the interested population.
