Support from One of the Largest Confederations
The autonomous truck drivers received full support from the National Confederation of Workers in Transport and Logistics (CNTTL) which is directly linked to CUT. One of the autonomous truck drivers, Wallace Landim, known as “Chorão” also spoke out demanding what was said last year when the category was the target of political interests and there were several promises of improvements in the Port of Santos Region.
Events Repeating Due to Broken Promises
What is happening due to the truck drivers’ promise of a total blockade at the Port of Santos also occurred last year – specifically in June with the blockade of a terminal in Guarujá, all due to unfulfilled promises and increases in the freight table.
