According to the report from the gold mining leader “The Socioeconomic Contribution of Gold Mining”, recently released by the World Gold Council (WGC, a market development organization for the gold industry), local employees represent 95% of the workforce of WGC members in the country. The document also shows that gold-producing companies generated around 200,000 direct jobs and 1.2 million indirect jobs worldwide during 2020.

In Jaguar’s case, 568 job openings were offered in 2020 and 2021, utilizing local or regional labor for 90% of the positions.
