BYD, Chinese Electric Car Brand, Announced the Arrival of Another Dealership in Porto Alegre.
BYD is expanding across the country and, after arriving in São Paulo and Curitiba, announced a new electric car dealership in Porto Alegre (RS). According to a company statement, the representative is Grupo IESA, which has been in the segment since 1992. BYD’s electric car dealership will start its operations in June and will be located on Rua Souza Reis, which is in the São João neighborhood of Porto Alegre.

BYD Plans to Open 100 Units in Brazil
According to the Sales Director of BYD Brazil, Henrique Antunes, Porto Alegre was chosen to receive the electric car dealership due to being a major economic center. Furthermore, in conjunction with the experience of a group like IESA, which has been in the automotive sector for over three decades.
However, BYD will not be arriving only in Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The giant from China also expects that the partnership with Grupo IESA will lead to the brand opening two more electric car dealerships in the state this year, in the municipalities of Passo Fundo and Caxias do Sul.

In an aggressive expansion and strengthening strategy of its electric car dealership network, BYD Brazil aims to establish its presence in 45 municipalities across the country by the end of this year. For next year, the company estimates that this number of dealerships will rise to 100.
New BYD Dealerships Have Also Opened in São Paulo
In addition to Porto Alegre, Eurobike, which was responsible for opening the first BYD unit in March last year in São Paulo, has already stated that two new dealerships are on the way in the municipalities of Ribeirão Preto (SP) and Brasília (DF).
Servopa, which was titled the first dealership in Curitiba, is expected to open in June of this year, and has also announced that two new units will be opened in the interior of Paraná, in Maringá and Londrina. According to BYD, each dealership will feature leisure and social spaces to make customers feel at home.
According to Antunes, the idea is to offer a dealership with a complete experience and differentiated spaces. The stores will have different areas, such as a genuine snack bar, relaxation and leisure spaces, and coworking space.
Going Beyond Electric Cars, BYD Dealerships in Brazil Offer Renewable Energy Solutions
All BYD dealerships will feature sales, after-sales, and parts areas, in addition to other areas, as well as the sale of equipment for producing clean energy such as solar panels, energy storage units, and chargers.
Moreover, the BYD Tan is the first electric car from the company that will be sold in the country. Deliveries of the 7-seat electric SUV will start this month, and the company is also planning to bring new models, such as the Han, which is expected to arrive this quarter.
