While many focus only on batteries, Toyota is heavily investing in electric trucks with third-generation fuel cells and has signed an agreement with Isuzu for the mass production of a light model expected to arrive in 2027.
Compared to competitors Rampage and Toro, the truck’s dimensions are generous, measuring 5.33 m in length, with a massive wheelbase of 3.19 m, 2 m in width, 1.78 m in height, and it weighs a light 1942 kg. To put it in perspective, it is lighter than a Fiat Toro. It can hold up to 1045 liters in the bed and a good 950 kg in payload.
On the outside, even though it is not the boldest like the RAM Rampage, Honda’s new pickup is very attractive and draws attention. In the front, it has a Black Piano grille, air intakes in the bumper, and an adaptive full LED lighting system.
On the sides, Honda has adopted chrome window trims and door handles, along with 18-inch graphite wheels. At the rear, the competitor of Rampage and Toro features two striking exhaust outlets, a Matte finish Steel bumper, and full LED taillights.
Competition to Toro and Rampage Delivers 280 Horsepower
In terms of engine, Honda’s new pickup has as its only option the engine that equips the SUVs of large size from the brand abroad. The block in question is well-known to us Brazilians.
It is the 3.5 V6 naturally aspirated engine, which features direct fuel injection and runs solely on gasoline. It delivers a strong 280 horsepower and 36.2 kgfm of torque, all associated with a nine-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter, and all-wheel drive on demand.
The performance of the competitor to Rampage and Toro is indeed very good, and just like in the SUVs with this engine, which is from the Earth Dreams family, the fuel consumption averages are excellent.
Moving to the interior, Honda’s new pickup stands out with excellent finishing, bringing quality materials such as Soft Touch on the dashboard and doors. Besides having a finish far superior to models sold here in Brazil, such as Rampage and Toro, the interior space is pleasing and it comfortably accommodates five adults.

The multimedia center equipped in Honda’s new pickup comes with a 9-inch screen and has connectivity via cable for Apple Carplay, Android Auto, a rearview camera, and native GPS.
