The New Volkswagen SUV Is Completely Developed and Manufactured in Brazil. Discover All the Details About This Model That Promises to Conquer the Streets
Volkswagen Brazil chose Rock in Rio, the biggest music festival in the world, to present a launch that promises to be a milestone in the brand’s history. At an event that mixes music and innovation, the SUVW, Volkswagen’s SUV, is a completely new model that will mark the debut of an unprecedented segment for the company in the Brazilian market.
The SUVW, which will hit the market in 2025, is part of the offensive of 16 new products that Volkswagen plans to launch by 2028. The model will join the SUVW Family, which already includes the New T-Cross, Nivus, Taos, and Tiguan. With this lineup, Volkswagen has established itself as the sales leader in the SUV segment in Brazil.
Ciro Possobom, CEO of Volkswagen Brazil, expressed his excitement about the new model: “Rock in Rio is the right place to celebrate icons. Today is the day we start the reveal of a new pop icon from Volkswagen, which will take to the streets of Brazil and the world soon. A car 100% developed and produced in Brazil, which is set to be another historic milestone in this true love affair between Volkswagen and Brazilians.”

In addition, a creative activation will allow the public to participate in a fun dynamic: guessing a name for the SUVW, with the condition that suggestions must be “wrong” and limited to five letters.
To further engage the brand’s fans, Volkswagen launched an interactive campaign on social media. Starting September 11, Volkswagen’s profiles on Instagram and Facebook will be promoting an activity where VW Lovers can suggest names for the new SUVW.
Participants must create names of up to five letters and, with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI), some of these names will be transformed into animations and published on social media, tagging the author of the suggestion.
