Chinese mid-size sedan combines sporty design, cabin with two screens, and turbo engines in a configuration that stands out for the disclosed numbers, but still has no official confirmation of launch in the Brazilian market.
Chery has introduced in China the Arrizo 8 Conqueror Edition, a new variation of the mid-size sedan that combines visual changes, two turbo engine options, and a starting price of 99,900 yuan, equivalent to about R$ 75,000 in direct conversion, without taxes, freight, or import costs.
The model surpasses in power the Volkswagen Jetta GLI sold in Brazil, equipped with a 2.0 turbo engine of 231 hp and 35.7 kgfm, according to data released by Volkswagen for the line marketed in the national market.
In the most powerful configuration, the Arrizo 8 Conqueror Edition reaches 257 hp and 40.8 kgfm, numbers superior to those of Volkswagen’s sports sedan when considering only the technical specifications provided by the manufacturers.

The comparison with the Toyota Corolla is due to the dimensions, as Chery’s sedan maintains 2.79 meters of wheelbase, while the Corolla sold in Brazil has 2.70 meters, according to Toyota’s technical specifications for the national line.
What changes in the design of the Chery Arrizo 8
The Arrizo 8 Conqueror Edition maintains the overall silhouette of the sedan already sold in China but received design changes at the front and rear compared to other configurations of the line.
At the front, the grille has a wide shape, darkened finish, and internal design with a geometric pattern, while the narrow headlights appear visually connected by a chrome strip positioned at the front.
At the rear, the taillights are interconnected and partially extend over the sides of the body, with the name Chery positioned at the center of the trunk lid.
The rear bumper features two exhaust outlets on each side, a solution used by the brand to differentiate the Conqueror Edition version within the Arrizo 8 line.
The dimensions disclosed for the sedan position the model between mid-size and mid-large vehicles, with 4.78 meters in length, 1.84 meters in width, 1.46 meters in height, and 2.79 meters of wheelbase.
Interior has two screens and elevated console
In the cabin, the Arrizo 8 Conqueror Edition features a dashboard with two 12.3-inch screens, one for the instrument cluster and another for the multimedia center.
The set appears integrated into the panel, while the elevated central console, the flat-bottomed steering wheel, and the chrome details make up the internal configuration revealed in the official images of the model.
The images presented in China show seats, doors, and a panel with more elaborate-looking coverings, but the exact composition of the materials has not been officially detailed by Chery.
The list of equipment varies according to the chosen configuration, according to information released by the Chinese press specialized in automobiles.
Among the cited items are a 360-degree camera, level 2 driving assistance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, automatic parking, lane change assistant, and transparent chassis view in more equipped versions.
Turbo engines reach 257 hp
The Conqueror edition presented in China uses combustion engines, unlike the Arrizo 8 PHEV displayed by Caoa Chery at the São Paulo Auto Show in 2025.
The entry-level version of the Chinese model receives a 1.6 turbo engine with 197 hp and 31.6 kgfm, associated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission.
In the more powerful configuration, the sedan uses a 2.0 turbo engine with 192 kW, equivalent to approximately 257 hp, in addition to 400 Nm of torque, about 40.8 kgfm.
Depending on the version, this engine can work with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission, according to the specifications released for the Chinese market.
According to the technical data, the Arrizo 8 Conqueror Edition is above the Jetta GLI in power and torque, but this comparison does not indicate real performance in acceleration, recovery, or consumption.
Independent measurements depend on factors such as weight, calibration, tires, transmission, and test conditions, information that has not been disclosed in a standardized way for this Chinese version.
Situation of Arrizo 8 in Brazil
In Brazil, the Arrizo 8 appeared in a different configuration from the Conqueror Edition version presented in China.
Caoa Chery displayed at the São Paulo Auto Show in November 2025 the Arrizo 8 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid version that adopts a distinct mechanical proposal.
The presence of the sedan at the Brazilian event occurred after the registration of patents at the National Institute of Industrial Property, a move that indicated design protection in the country.
Even with the public display and registration at INPI, Caoa Chery has not yet officially confirmed the commercial launch of the Arrizo 8 in the Brazilian market.
The difference between the versions is relevant because the model shown in Brazil does not exactly correspond to the Conqueror Edition released in China.
Besides the design changes, the sedan displayed by Caoa Chery had a plug-in hybrid proposal, while the new Chinese configuration uses turbo combustion engines.
Chinese price does not indicate Brazilian value
The initial price of 99,900 yuan places the Arrizo 8 Conqueror Edition in a range equivalent to approximately R$ 75,000 in direct conversion, but this calculation does not represent a potential Brazilian price.
In a possible import or local production, factors such as exchange rate, taxes, homologation, logistical costs, commercial margin, and market positioning would alter the final consumer price.
At the exchange rate used in the conversion, 99,900 yuan is equivalent to approximately R$ 74,700, an amount rounded to about R$ 75,000.
The reference of R$ 76,000 mentioned in the title is close to this value but may vary according to the exchange rate adopted at the time of conversion.
So far, the confirmed information for Brazil is the exhibition of the Arrizo 8 PHEV at the São Paulo Auto Show and the registration of the industrial design.
The Conqueror Edition version remains linked to the Chinese market, with no official announcement of sale in Brazil, national launch date, or defined price for Brazilian consumers.
