Works authorized by the state government total R$ 154.4 million on Line 10-Turquoise, with renovations at Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André and Mauá stations, as well as a new substation to strengthen railway operations in Greater ABC.
CPTM received authorization to begin the renovation and modernization of the Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André and Mauá stations on Line 10-Turquoise, in addition to the implementation of the new Santo André Rectifier Substation. The announcements were made by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas during the 3D Caravan in Greater ABC, with investments of R$ 154.4 million to enhance accessibility, safety, and comfort.
The works are part of the São Paulo railway infrastructure modernization plan and were presented with the participation of CPTM president Michael Cerqueira and the Secretary of Metropolitan Transport, Marco Antonio Assalve.
CPTM invests R$ 97 million in two stations
The renovation of the Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André and Mauá stations will have an investment of R$ 97 million. The contract includes the executive project and execution of the necessary interventions for modernization and accessibility at the units.

Inaugurated on February 16, 1867, the Prefeito Celso Daniel-Santo André Station will receive a new walkway for crossing the tracks, connecting all platforms, with three elevators and three fixed staircases.
The project includes raising the platforms, replacing the roofs with sandwich-type tiles, six end staircases, adaptation of existing accesses and the underpass, renovation of public and accessible restrooms, a new locker room block, and adaptation of operational rooms.
Mauá will have a walkway, elevators, and internal improvements
At the Mauá Station, inaugurated on September 15, 1920, the works include a new walkway with three elevators and three fixed staircases, raising the platforms, and complementing and replacing the roofs.
Also planned are six end staircases, adaptation of the access halls and the underpass, adaptation of public and accessible restrooms, expansion of employee facilities, and renovation of the parking lot.
New substation strengthens Line 10-Turquoise
CPTM will begin the process of implementing the Santo André Rectifier Substation, with an investment of R$ 57.4 million. The contract involves the executive project, supply, and implementation of the structure.
The substation will strengthen the electrical supply system of Line 10-Turquoise, currently served by the Pari, São Caetano do Sul, and Mauá substations, increasing reliability and operational efficiency.
CPTM transports 1.2 million passengers per business day, covers about 53.5 thousand km daily, and operates 1,551 scheduled trips. Its four lines total 142 km, serve 12 municipalities, and comprise 41 stations.
