The State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS) closes applications on December 23 for the free course of the graduate program in territorial planning (PLANTERR). This professional master’s degree offers a unique opportunity for advanced and interdisciplinary training, focusing on practical solutions for territorial development.

The announcement includes 18 spots, distributed among different research lines, and aims to train professionals to meet society’s demands with an ethical and technical approach.

Objective and Format of the Free Course

The free master’s degree course has as its main objective to integrate technology, research, and professional practice to create innovative and sustainable interventions in territorial planning. With a workload adapted to professional needs, the course is in-person and may include activities such as seminars, workshops, case studies, and practical projects.

Distribution of Spots and Inclusion Policies

There are 18 spots available for the free master’s course, with 11 for Urban-Regional and Environmental Planning and 7 for Public Policies and Social Participation. The announcement ensures 50% quotas for historically excluded groups, including black people, indigenous people, quilombolas, gypsies, transgender people, and people with disabilities. There are specific spots for staff from the State University-UEFS and the Bahia State Department of Rural Development.

Selection Process and Assessment Criteria

The selection process for the free master’s course will be divided into three stages:

Research Project Analysis (eliminatory) – Technical evaluation of the proposal presented by the candidate.
Interview (eliminatory) – Discussion about the academic and professional trajectory, as well as the content of the project proposal.
Foreign Language Exam (classificatory) – With options for English or Spanish, assessing the ability to read and interpret technical texts.

Each stage will be scored, and the final average will determine the candidates’ ranking.
