The Graduate Program in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) announced Announcement No. 01/2024, with opportunities for the free professional master’s course, aimed at the continued education and professional training of teachers and technicians. A total of 656 spots are available in various regions of Brazil, distributed among general competition and Federal Network Education Professionals. This is an opportunity for professionals to expand their knowledge and obtain a qualified qualification in a high-level program.

The ProfEPT Master’s Program seeks to train professionals capable of contributing to professional and technological education in Brazil. The course involves the development of educational products and research on topics that integrate work, science, and technology. Offered predominantly in-person, with up to 30% of the workload being distance learning, the course requires a full dedication of 24 months, with classes and research activities. Students will participate in seminars, forums, and assessments that enrich their professional practice.

Available Spots and Locations for the Free Course

With 656 spots for the free master’s course spread across Associated Institutions (IAs) in different states, the course offers spots for general competition and for Federal Network employees. Each campus, listed in the announcement, has a specific number of spots and distributions by quotas, following local affirmative policies. Thus, candidates can choose the closest institution to participate.

Selection Process

Half of the available spots are reserved for employees of institutions in the Federal Network, with seats also reserved for quotas, such as persons with disabilities and Black, Brown, and Indigenous individuals, in accordance with the regulations of the IAs. The selection process will consist of a national objective test, with 50 questions, covering relevant topics in Professional and Technological Education.

This assessment ensures transparency and fairness in selecting the best candidates for ProfEPT.

Requirements for Course Enrollment

To enroll in the free master’s course, candidates must have a diploma or declaration of completion of a higher education course (bachelor’s, licentiate, or technologist) recognized by the Ministry of Education. For candidates applying for employee spots, proof of affiliation with the Federal Network is required, while those in general competition must have experience in professional and technological education.

All must have access to the internet and necessary equipment for distance activities.
