Port Terminal Gains New Area of 70,000 m² and Strengthens Strategic Exports and Imports Starting in November 2025
A large-scale logistics project with significant economic impact is in its final phase in Espírito Santo. Thus, the initiative promises to strengthen the state’s position in foreign trade.
With an investment of R$ 35 million, the Vila Velha Terminal (TVV), operated by Log-In Integrated Logistics, is set to inaugurate its new area by November 2025. This will occur shortly after the completion of the customs clearance process by the Federal Revenue, the final step necessary to begin operations.
New Structure Increases Capacity and Productivity
The expansion adds 70,000 m² to the terminal. Therefore, the total area increases to 178,000 m², a growth of nearly 65% compared to the previous 108,000 m².

Idle for 40 years, the 1,757-kilometer railway receives R$ 5 billion in two consecutive investments, reopens construction sites in the Sertão, begins partial operation in Piauí, and promises to reduce soybean and ore freight by up to 60%, connecting Brazil’s poorest interior to the international market for the first time with competitive infrastructure.

While in Brazil the Transnordestina has been waiting for 67 years, China began drilling 29 tunnels through the mountains of Central Asia to build the first railway connecting three countries — it’s 523 km, US$ 4.7 billion, and 5,000 workers cutting rock at 3,000 meters of altitude

India is paving 1,350 kilometers of road with 8 lanes to connect its two largest cities — the drive between Delhi and Mumbai will be reduced from 24 hours to 12, and 929 kilometers are already completed.

Norway is drilling 27 kilometers of rock 392 meters below the bottom of a fjord to build the world’s largest and deepest underwater road tunnel — when completed, a 21-hour journey will be reduced to 10.
The contract for the area’s operation will be valid for five years. Additionally, it complements the concession renewed in 2020, which provides for R$ 500 million in investments until 2048.
These investments have already yielded results. In 2024, for instance, the modernization of equipment and systems boosted TVV’s productivity by 39%, strengthening its position as a strategic hub in national logistics.

Exports and Imports in Focus
The new area has been designed to facilitate the flow of strategic cargo. In this sense, coffee and ornamental stones are prioritized, as they are pillars of Espírito Santo’s exports.
Moreover, the expansion reinforces the import of fertilizers and vehicles, two essential segments for the regional economy. Thus, a virtuous cycle is created between export and import, increasing Espírito Santo’s competitiveness.
According to Gustavo Paixão, Director of Terminals at Log-In, “the expansion anticipates solutions for the logistical bottlenecks that impacted producers in recent years. This ensures greater efficiency and competitiveness.”
Approvals and Final Release Phase
The project has already received approvals from the City Hall of Vila Velha, Antaq, Fire Department, and Iema. In addition, the environmental licensing has also progressed, with Iema conducting its final stage.
However, only the customs clearance from the Federal Revenue is missing, the last necessary authorization. Without this release, operations cannot begin, but expectations are for completion still in 2025.
Paixão emphasizes that all systems are ready. “Only the customs authorization remains for the expansion to become operational and for Espírito Santo to reap its benefits in 2025,” he highlighted in August 2025.
Integrated Logistics and Long-Term Vision
Log-In structured the expansion within a long-term strategic plan. Thus, the initiative aims to consolidate Espírito Santo as a regional logistics hub.
The goal is to anticipate solutions for the growing demands of foreign trade. Furthermore, the company relies on digitizing processes and modern infrastructure. These factors differentiate TVV from competing ports in the region.
Log-In Logistics: Presence in Brazil and Mercosur
Log-In Integrated Logistics, founded in 2007, operates in cabotage navigation and port handling. Currently, the company has nine container ships, with a total capacity of 24,366 TEUs.
With these vessels, the company connects the main ports of Brazil to Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
In addition to TVV, Log-In also operates the Intermodal Terminal of Itajaí (SC). It also integrates road transport through Tecmar, which has 1,300 own vehicles and 50 warehouses distributed across the country.
This model allows for the offering of road-cabotage, which combines road and maritime transport into a unique logistics solution.
Expansion in the Context of the National Economic Environment
The TVV project follows the movement of port modernization in Brazil. In 2024, the Brazilian Association of Port Terminals (ABTP) reported that the sector moved over 1.2 billion tons in the country.
Therefore, the expansion of TVV strengthens Espírito Santo’s position and ensures competitiveness against other states. Thus, the terminal prevents strategic cargo from being diverted to competing ports.
