Interlog Summit – Intermodal Congress
The first edition of the Intermodal Transportation Congress in São Paulo brought discussions on topics such as infrastructure, logistics, agribusiness, technology, and international trade. The event featured the presence of national and international experts to debate the trends and perspectives of the transportation industry.
On the first day of the congress, participants discussed the perspectives and trends in the infrastructure and logistics of national transportation, as well as the new frontiers for the flow of agricultural bulk goods. On the second day, the topic was the maritime/port scenario, highlighting the role of technology in developing the maritime industry and national port industry.
The third day addressed the port/railway integration, as well as the energy transition and business opportunities. Finally, on the last day, participants debated issues related to logistical operations to improve end-to-end visibility of the supply chain and how international trade will behave after the pandemic. There were also discussions about the advances and challenges of ports and airports in seeking greater efficiency, safety, and reducing environmental impact.
The Intermodal Congress was a great success with more than 400 participants. The topics discussed were essential for the development of the transportation industry in Brazil, as they signal the global trends being adopted to enhance logistical processes. Taking advantage of this pioneering initiative in São Paulo, it is possible to understand that Brazil is prepared to meet global demands when it comes to intermodal transportation.
Interlog Summit – CNL – National Logistics Conference
The Intermodal South America 2023, one of the largest intermodal congresses in the world, promises to be a watershed moment for Brazilian transportation. With a schedule full of news and innovations, this year’s edition will feature a series of launches aimed at making the sector safer and more efficient.
The National Logistics Conference (CNL) is an initiative of Abralog (Brazilian Logistics Association) and will address important topics related to infrastructure, national transportation logistics, Maersk multimodality, AMBEV logistics electrification, modernization of Brazilian foreign trade, alternative energy sources for transportation, end-to-end visibility of the supply chain, and productivity in distribution center management. Additionally, there will also be a panel on artificial intelligence for logistical projects.
The Intermodal Arena is also planned, a space where relevant sector discussions will be addressed such as technology, modalities, cold chain, breakbulk, PL/4PL, WMS, TMS, and Warehouse 4.0. In terms of technological innovations, the event will feature IT Innovations, which will showcase 16 companies presenting innovative solutions for the entire logistics chain.
Another unmissable attraction is the Mobile School of 5G Connectivity, which will offer practical experiences of technology applications enabled by 5G connectivity beyond Wi-Fi 6 and latency testing, among others.
In this way, visitors will also be able to experience the CNT (National Transport Confederation) bus simulator, which uses advanced technologies to train sector professionals regarding road safety and safe driving. The module reproduces typical situations of Brazilian traffic, such as adverse weather conditions and heavy traffic.
To end on a high note, Intermodal 2023 will also launch the Safe Mobility Seal, conceived by the National Observatory of Road Safety. The Seal aims to encourage contracting companies to adopt responsible management through the centralization of compliance documentation from contractors, something essential to ensure greater security in the services provided.
Therefore, this event will present a lot of good things to modernize the Brazilian logistics sector, which has undergone significant changes in recent years. We hope that the innovations presented at Intermodal 2023 can induce a leap in the quality of services provided in the country.
