2000 Scholarships and 20 Job Openings Offered by Cognizant, One of the World’s Leading Companies Specializing in Digital Transformation Solutions for Large Organizations
Cognizant, one of the world’s leading companies specializing in digital transformation solutions for large organizations, launches the Global Dev 2021 Data Engineering Acceleration Program. The partnership with Digital Innovation One, the largest technology education ecosystem in Latin America, offers 2,000 scholarships for 500 people, aiming to develop information technology professionals. The companies organized the program into four editions, with the first held in June and two more sessions scheduled for 2021.

According to Cognizant, the partnership with Digital Innovation One, responsible for building the educational pathway of the program and which has more than 500,000 developers on its platform, aims to provide development opportunities for technology professionals while accelerating the hiring process, connecting the company to the IT community.
“In the face of a growing demand, Brazil today has a shortage of IT professionals, and Cognizant wants to help solve this problem. This is one of the initiatives we have for accelerating the training of professionals in the market, as well as inclusion and democratization of knowledge,” says Tatiana Romero, Human Resources Leader at Cognizant in Brazil.

The program is divided into four stages: application, pre-selection test, acceleration, and selection process. The prerequisites to apply for the September edition are: having more than two years of professional experience in software development and understanding the Python language. At the end of the cycle, Cognizant will hire up to 20 professionals, a number that may increase depending on the program’s results.
The program will last seven hours and will consist of three workshops on Python, Spark, and Data Engineering. In addition, coding challenges, practical projects, and mentorships will be proposed, all aimed at enhancing each participant’s individual journey.
