Advance In Electric Mobility: Station Allows Charging 20 Cars At The Same Time
In an innovative move within the energy sector, Enel X, a branch of the Enel Group specialized in modern energy solutions, inaugurated on February 6 its first charging hub for electric vehicles in São Paulo. Located in SP Market, one of the main shopping centers in the city, this charging point is the largest of its kind within a shopping mall throughout Brazil, allowing for the simultaneous charging of up to 20 vehicles.
With an area of 230m², the hub not only provides easy access for drivers due to its strategic location on Avenida das Nações Unidas, but it also meets the growing demand in the South Zone for charging infrastructure. This space includes fast charging options capable of fully charging an electric vehicle in just 30 minutes, bringing great convenience to users.
SP Market: Integrating Innovation With Sustainability
Maíra Santos, marketing manager of SP Market, emphasizes the role of the shopping center as a pioneer by incorporating sustainable technologies, aiming to meet the needs of conscious consumers. This initiative not only enriches the shopping experience for visitors, but also underscores the shopping center’s commitment to environmental sustainability, positioning it as a leader in innovation and ecological responsibility.

Enel X has been a driving force in expanding the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Brazil, with over 500 public and semi-public chargers installed in 2023, in addition to providing more than six thousand chargers for private use, including fast charging options.
“We provide chargers in strategic locations, such as roads, gas stations, commercial areas, and residential neighborhoods, in collaboration with automakers, dealerships, and parking networks. Our portfolio ranges from 7 kW AC chargers to 350 kW DC models, which allow for complete charges in less than 15 minutes, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and sustainability in electric mobility,” concludes Scroffa.
