Companies Join Forces to Launch Project Promising Free Solar Energy for the Northeast, Generating Photovoltaic Energy on Residential and Commercial Roofs.
An innovative project promises to provide free solar energy to 50,000 residences and commercial establishments monthly in the Northeast region of Brazil, at no cost to the property owners. This initiative results from a collaboration between Revo, Sou Energy, and Huawei, operating similarly to a leasing, with significant potential to boost the use of photovoltaic energy in the region.
Understand How the Free Solar Energy Project from Revo, Sou Energy, and Huawei Will Work
In this photovoltaic energy initiative, the property owner or tenant subscribes to the service, allowing for the installation of solar panels on the roof at no cost for the equipment or installation. It works as a kind of roof rental, offering the user a discount of about 20% on their electricity bill.
At the end of the contract, with a minimum duration of 6 years, the user becomes the owner of the solar system, potentially saving up to 80% permanently on their electricity bill. The investment fund involved in the project receives compensation through a portion of the savings generated, which is retained by Revo.

The era of solar panels attached to roofs is beginning to change with transparent glass that generates energy while keeping the view unobstructed, and perovskite photovoltaic windows already tested in offices in Japan promise to transform entire facades into invisible power plants without blocking light or altering the appearance of buildings.
-
The era of silicon alone in solar energy comes to an end with the arrival of perovskite, a material that captures a broader light spectrum, is applied as a thin film, and, together with silicon, reaches a theoretical limit of 45% efficiency in tandem modules.

Fernando de Noronha begins unprecedented energy transformation with a R$ 350 million solar plant that promises to replace diesel generation and change the island’s sustainable future by 2027.

While Europe and the United States rush to save their own solar chains, China already dominates more than 80% of the global manufacturing of solar panels and has turned the sun into an industrial machine controlled by Beijing that is redefining the global energy transition.
Sou Energy, the largest distributor of solar kits in the North and Northeast, benefits from the sale of the equipment, while Huawei, the Chinese giant, contributes its technology to the free solar energy project. Residences and small businesses with electricity bills between R$ 400 and R$ 15,000, which have suitable roofs for solar generation, can participate in the project. The project has a special focus on the peripheral areas of the Northeast and North.
According to Mario Viana, Sales and Marketing Director at Sou Energy, it’s not necessary to be the property owner; rented properties can also participate, as long as there is authorization from the owner.
Free Solar Energy Project Promises Extra Income of Up to R$ 10,000
The news from the companies was announced in April of this year in Fortaleza. It is worth mentioning that in this photovoltaic solar energy system, the credit generated from the produced energy cannot be used in more than one unit. In addition to the advantage on the electricity bill, the expectation is that the model will generate jobs for up to 10,000 salespeople and integrators who will connect customers with the companies.
According to Mario Viana, there is a possibility of earning a minimum of R$ 3,000 with the model, but the amount can be much higher, potentially exceeding R$ 10,000, depending on the number of subscriptions obtained.
For Kléber Pinho, CEO of Sou Energy, the project could revolutionize the income of thousands of families, functioning as a kind of ‘Uber for Solar Energy.’ Interested parties can attend a training event for salespeople and integrators. The event will take place on April 17 at Teatro Via Sul at 9:30 AM, 3:30 PM, or 8:00 PM.
Huawei Comments on the Initiative
For Rômulo Horta, Channels Director at Huawei Digital Power, increasing the use of clean energy is essential and urgent, given that global energy demand is expected to grow by 58% by 2040, 2% per year, according to Bloomberg NEF (BNEF), which provides data on energy markets.
Horta states that we are facing an energy challenge like never before. As fossil fuel reserves dwindle, our demand for energy grows. Over the next 20 years, we will fulfill almost 36% more energy. We need to change this reality as soon as possible.
The focus of the free solar energy project is to offer the end customer the opportunity to generate photovoltaic energy without making any investment and, in this way, generate more benefits and lower costs.
