The new land oil well being drilled in the Parnaíba Basin, within the state of Maranhão, belongs to the block PN-T-48 and has been technically named 3-ENV-11D-MA.
Eneva made progress in its exploratory campaign in Maranhão in the first quarter of this year. In the Gavião Preto field, in Parnaíba, the company completed the completion of two oil wells and also finished drilling three others. Still in the same field, the company began drilling another well in the same period.
Eneva has commenced preliminary leasing services at well 7-GVTE-1-MA, in the Gavião Tesoura field. Throughout the first quarter, the company’s upstream investments totaled 41 million reais.
Currently, the company has nine oil fields declared as commercial: five of them in production (Gavião Real, Gavião Vermelho, Gavião Branco, Gavião Caboclo, and Gavião Azul) and four in development (Gavião Preto, Gavião Branco Norte, Gavião Tesoura, and Gavião Carijó).
The company also has seven Discovery Assessment Plans (PADs), seven exploratory blocks acquired in the 13th ANP Bidding Round in 2015, five blocks acquired in the 14th ANP Bidding Round in 2017, and six oil blocks acquired in the first cycle of ANP’s Permanent Offering in 2019.
In 2017, Eneva reached the milestone of over 100 oil wells drilled in the Parnaíba Basin, Maranhão, an exceptional result for a frontier basin.
In addition to the Parnaíba Basin, Eneva operates the Azulão field in the Amazon Basin in Maranhão. The natural gas produced in this field will supply the Jaguatirica II thermoelectric plant in Roraima.
