According to IFRO, the selection process is public and conducted entirely remotely.
The classification follows objective criteria provided in the announcement, with preliminary lists published and a period for appeals before the final results.
Structure, Course Load, and Pedagogical Approach
The curriculum proposal includes components addressing the subjects of EJA, didactic-pedagogical strategies, citizenship, and inclusion.
Among the planned topics are contextualization, literacy and social inclusion, and teaching methodologies and strategies.
Two modules of social intervention project are also scheduled, focused on the practical application of what has been studied in the student’s territory, preferably in real contexts of schools and communities.
Asynchronous activities will allow access to content in the virtual learning environment, while synchronous meetings will be used for guidance, sharing experiences, and monitoring the proposed interventions.
Distribution of Vacancies and Support Centers
The 200 vacancies are distributed between São Miguel do Guaporé Campus and 18 support centers, located in Rondônia, Minas Gerais, and Paraíba.
In Rondônia, the selection includes Alto Paraíso, Cacaulândia, Castanheiras, Cerejeiras, Chupinguaia, Governor Jorge Teixeira, Itapuã do Oeste, Ouro Preto do Oeste, Pimenta Bueno, Presidente Médici, São Felipe, São Francisco do Guaporé, and Seringueiras.
Outside the state, there are centers in Santa Rita de Caldas (MG) and, in Paraíba, in Campina Grande, Esperança, Mari, and Olho d’Água.
The candidate must choose a support center at the time of application for academic organization purposes; however, in-person attendance is not required for classes or enrollment.
All processes occur through the IFRO system, within the deadlines defined in the announcement.
Selection Process Calendar
The schedule provides for a registration period from October 2 to November 6, 2025, until 11:59 PM (Rondônia time).
The publication of the list of applicants and the preliminary results is scheduled for the first half of November, with a period for filing appeals following that.
After the final results are confirmed, the classified candidate will be called for online enrollment in stages, with specific windows for document submission, analysis, corrections (when necessary), and confirmation in the institutional system.
The start of classes is set for 02/02/2026.
Focus on Literacy, Diversity, and Inclusion in EJA
The specialization centers on content that addresses recurring challenges in EJA: combating age–year distortion, reducing dropout rates, and strengthening the learning of youth and adults in diverse contexts.
The approach works with political-didactic-pedagogical strategies aligned with human rights, racial equity, inclusive education, and citizenship, with an emphasis on contextualized literacy practices and methodologies that respect the life histories, rhythms, and repertoires of students.
Throughout the course, the expectation is that the teacher-student will develop feasible projects in their working network, document evidence, and share results in synchronous meetings, strengthening a collaborative network among participants from different municipalities and states.
How the Classification and Monitoring of the Course Will Work
The selection uses scoring defined in the announcement, organized by criteria such as academic background and relevant experiences, with rules for affirmative actions and distribution of vacancies among broad competition, graduates, and legal reserves.
Official publications, including enrollment calls and any corrections, take place on the IFRO Selection Portal, and monitoring is the responsibility of the candidate.
Once enrolled, the student must regularly access the virtual environment, complete assessment activities within deadlines, and participate in scheduled meetings.
The social intervention project, divided into two stages, functions as an integrative axis, requiring diagnosis, planning, execution, and critical reflection on the pedagogical impacts produced.
Why Qualification in EJA Matters Now
In the context of reestablishing learning and updating adult education policies, specializations focused on diversity and inclusion reinforce the ability of public and private networks to serve populations that have historically been marginalized in education.
In contexts of work, migration, and social vulnerability, literacy practices sensitive to local realities tend to increase retention and completion rates while enhancing the autonomy of youth and adults.
Which aspect of EJA education needs investment the most today: initial literacy, retention strategies, or teacher training for inclusion?
How to Apply
Applications are made exclusively on the IFRO Selection Portal, from 10/02/2025 to 11/06/2025, until 11:59 PM in Rondônia time.
The candidate must fill out the form, choose a support center from those available, and attach the required documentation.
To participate, it is necessary to have completed and recognized higher education.
All processes — registration, data correction, enrollment, and confirmation — occur online; there is no fee and in-person attendance at the chosen support center is not necessary.
The schedule of calls, document verification, and the start date for classes (02/02/2026) must be monitored directly in the institutional system, according to the selection announcement.
