The Virtual University of the State of São Paulo (Univesp), linked to the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation (SCTI), opened on the 6th the registrations for thousands of spots in free distance graduation courses. In total, there are 22,935 spots aimed at 432 hubs, across 373 municipalities. The free courses at Univesp could be your chance to study for free at a renowned educational institution.

All The Details About The Free Distance Graduation Courses At Univesp

Nine free distance graduation courses are offered, including Literature, Mathematics, and Pedagogy (Licensing Axis), Data Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology (Computing Axis), and Administration, Production Engineering, and Technology in Managerial Processes (Business and Production Axis).

In the Computing Axis, the courses are Bachelor’s in IT (duration of three years), Bachelor’s in Data Science (four years), or Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering (five years), where up to a year and a half, the cycle is basic, with the possibility of switching between any of the three courses.

Those who take free courses at Univesp in licensing will complete one year of a basic cycle, with the option to change their specialization starting in the second year in Literature, Mathematics, or Pedagogy (all with a duration of four years).

Those who choose to study for free in the Business and Production Axis must complete a basic year and, in the second year, will make the definitive choice between Technology in Managerial Processes (three years), Bachelor’s in Administration (four years), or Bachelor’s in Production Engineering (five years).

Guide On How To Register For The Free Distance Graduation Courses

Registrations for free courses at Univesp will close on April 7 and must be made through the Univesp Entrance Exam website. The objective test for studying for free is scheduled for May 18 at 1 PM, and the official locations will be announced on May 9 starting at 10 AM. The beginning of classes is scheduled for the end of July 2025.

The registration fee for the free distance graduation courses is R$ 47.50. There is no age limit to participate, as long as the candidate has completed high school or is expected to graduate by the enrollment period. When filling out the registration form, candidates interested in studying for free in the free courses at Univesp must answer the socioeconomic questionnaire, provide their CPF, and their personal data.

They will also be able, if they wish, to provide their registration numbers for the National High School Exam (Enem) from 2022, 2023, and 2024, so that the results will be considered in the objective test and integrated into the final score. The entrance exam will also have the Additional Scoring System for PPI and for students who completed high school in public schools.

The courses for studying for free are conducted in a Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), an online platform where students carry out academic activities, which include watching video lessons, accessing didactic materials, digital libraries, and asking facilitators questions about the content.

The hubs are physical spaces where students have access to infrastructure such as computers, printers, and internet access, and conduct activities such as tests and group discussions. At the location, academic secretary services and clarification of doubts can also be requested.
