Each researcher must conduct studies linked to regional themes, such as culture or history of countries and regions outside Canada and the United States. To compete for the scholarships, interested parties must be available to live in the Cambridge or Boston areas during the scholarship period.

The amount will depend on the academic level of those wishing to study abroad. For candidates who have not yet completed their doctoral studies, the scholarships will be US$35 thousand, which in direct conversion amounts to R$180 thousand. For those who have completed their studies, this amount rises to US$70 thousand, equivalent to around R$390 thousand.

All application materials must be submitted by September 23 of this year, and Harvard University states that it does not accept late applications.

The completed application must include a resume, including a list of publications, a sample of academic writing, such as a chapter from a doctoral dissertation or an article from an academic journal, a copy of the transcript from your doctoral program, three letters of recommendation, and a research proposal, which must be a maximum of 2,000 words, including intellectual objectives and planned methodological and disciplinary work.
