New Mondial factory in Cruz das Almas has been confirmed. The company announced the establishment of the factory in the municipality after signing a letter of intent with the City Hall. The initial investment will be R$ 45.7 million and aims to generate jobs in Bahia, with over 1,400 direct vacancies throughout the project’s phases.
New Mondial Factory: Strategic Location in DICA 2
The Mondial factory will be built in DICA 2, on a plot of 200,000 square meters provided by the municipality.
The area is located on the banks of BR-101, which facilitates logistics and enhances distribution potential.

“The arrival of Mondial represents a historic milestone for Cruz das Almas. It is a giant step towards the economic development of our municipality. We are talking about job creation, more income circulating in the city, and real opportunities for our youth and for those who have always dreamed of a decent job close to home,” he stated.
The president of the City Council, Euricles Neto, also celebrated the achievement.
“Mondial chose Cruz because it trusts our work, our organization, and our commitment to the city’s growth. It is the result of a lot of work, planning, and dialogue with the private sector. It is a victory that will transform lives,” he said.
Growth Projections and New Businesses
The decision of Grupo MK to install the factory in Cruz das Almas was based on studies that pointed to the city as the ideal location for expansion.
The strategic location, available infrastructure, and skilled labor were determining factors.
With this new industrial investment in DICA 2, the municipality strengthens its position as a hub for attracting large companies, enhancing its relevance in the state and national landscape.
