The New Investment at the Factory in São Paulo
Officially called Test Center Latam, the future facility at the factory in São Paulo will be responsible for testing all tires manufactured by the company in the country and will be submitted for accreditation by Inmetro to ensure that the evaluated products can receive the certifications stipulated by the agency.
“The new Test Center Latam, which we are developing at the Santo André factory, will be very important for us to act in an even more agile and integrated manner with all our areas,” explains Luiz Mari, Prometeon’s Director of Research and Development for the Americas. “By making the process more efficient, we will save time and can develop better products more quickly. This is a great step for the evolution of the company and our range of products, always seeking the best for our customers.”

Creation of New Jobs
With the arrival of the new testing center, the company will begin a process to expand its workforce at the factory. In this first phase, it has opened four new positions, out of a total of 14 in the future, for the roles of indoor testing manager and indoor testing machine operator. Eduardo Fonseca, CEO of Prometeon for the Americas, says that the company continues to repeatedly demonstrate its confidence and importance in Brazil. As a global company, we are making this investment in our Santo André facility to modernize our facilities to deliver even better products to our customers. The country has a strategic position for the company, and this investment further proves that, says Eduardo.
This is the second investment that the Santo André factory has received this year. In April, the company announced it would expand production to seven days a week, starting in July, with the consequent hiring of 150 new professionals to meet the demand for tires from the Agricultural and OTR lines.
