Health Professionals Can Train in the Use of Geotechnologies Applied to the Sector; Registration is Open Until November 14!

The Fiocruz is accepting registrations for the 5th Course on Geoprocessing and Spatial Analysis in Health, an unmissable opportunity for those working in the public health sector who want to specialize in the use of geotechnologies. This free course, starting in February 2025, offers a practical approach aimed at solving everyday problems in health services.

Training Focused on Public Health Professionals

The course is aimed at professionals with education in areas related to public health, as well as graduate students in the same field seeking to deepen their knowledge in geoprocessing and spatial analysis. A total of 20 spots will be offered for the 2025 cohort, with the main objective being to equip students to use geotechnology tools to interpret and analyze spatial data, something that is becoming increasingly essential in health management.

What to Expect From Classes: Practice with Software and Data Analysis

During the course, students will learn everything they need to organize and interpret spatial data. From organizing and tabulating data to creating thematic maps and cartograms, each learning stage is practical and aimed at real-world application. Participants will have access to geoprocessing software and key equipment for georeferencing, enabling them to develop and analyze cartographic bases with health indicators.
