The Brazilian Energy Company Focus Energia Intends to Launch an Initial Public Offering (IPO) That Will Support the Construction of Over 3 GW of Solar Projects at Its Futura Complex.
According to Focus Energia, the growth of solar energy in Brazil in terms of new distributed generation systems jumped from 7 in 2012 to 110,299 in 2029. We reached the mark of 15,600 workers in 2018 in the sector, and cumulative investments in the country exceed R$ 5.2 billion from 2012 to 2029.

Futura Solar Energy Project
According to the company’s previous project, the Futura solar project consists of 45 parks divided among Futura 1, Futura 2, and Futura 3/ Apia. All these solar energy projects together will have a power capacity of 1,000 megawatts (MWa) of solar energy.
Focus Energia may also utilize any surplus from its projects beyond Futura to create parallel projects that benefit the Brazilian population.

Solar Energy in Brazil on the Rise
Focus Energia is planning a primary offering, the proceeds of which will be used for the acquisition and development of its renewable energy projects, and a secondary offering, in which the company’s shareholders will sell shares.
Morgan Stanley is the lead coordinator for the IPO. The local units of the Spanish Banco Santander SA and the American bank Citigroup Inc also coordinate the offering.
