With Record Production of Oil and Natural Gas, FPSO Guanabara MV31 Leads Operations in Brazil and Reinforces MODEC’s Efficiency in the Oil and Gas Sector.
The FPSO Guanabara MV31, operated by MODEC in the Mero field, in the Santos Basin, was the unit with the highest production of oil and natural gas in Brazil in May 2025. This information was disclosed in the Monthly Production Bulletin of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
The platform achieved an average of 183,948 barrels of oil per day and 12 million cubic meters of natural gas, consolidating its leadership in the sector.
This remarkable performance is the result of the combination of MODEC’s operational excellence and the high quality of the Mero reservoir, considered one of the most promising in the Brazilian pre-salt. Petrobras, responsible for managing the field in partnership with other companies, is also a highlight in the operation.
