Gerdau, a company operating in the steel industry, announced this week the opening of applications for its new selection process that offers 130 job openings in eight states across the country. The internship program of the company, called G.Start 2023, provides a benefits package focused on market practices, in addition to a development path aimed at enhancing the future of the interns.
List of Courses Eligible for Gerdau Job Openings
Gerdau seeks eager students for its selection process and bases its approach on the 70-20-10 development method. In this method, 70% of learning occurs through practical daily experiences, 20% through peer, manager, and tutor exchanges, and 10% through online learning.
The platform chosen for this last stage is LinkedIn Learning, where those selected for the job openings will have access to courses inspired by the company’s ten principles, in addition to technical certifications and an activity plan.

The job openings available in the selection process are aimed at students enrolled in both on-site and distance courses. Among the cities with Gerdau opportunities are Barão de Cocais, Divinópolis, Contagem, Itabirito, Ouro Preto, Ouro Branco, and Três Marias in Minas Gerais, Sapucaia do Sul and Charqueadas in Rio Grande do Sul, Maracanaú, Guarapuava in Paraná and Maracanaú in Ceará, Rio de Janeiro in RJ, Recife in Pernambuco, Aracaju in Sergipe, Araçariguama, Guarulhos, Cotia, Mogi das Cruzes, Pindamonhangaba, São José dos Campos, São Caetano do Sul, and São Paulo in SP.
Learn How to Participate in the Selection Process
Those interested in applying for Gerdau’s internship program must be students in higher education in bachelor’s, degree, or technology programs and must be enrolled between July 2024 and December 2026.
Additionally, it is necessary to be available to intern six hours a day, for a period of one to two years, in person. Those interested in gaining more experience in the job market can apply for the internship program until May 22.
The selection process for job openings will include stages such as applications, online group dynamics, final interviews, and medical exams. Those selected for the program will start in August. The program offers various benefits such as a scholarship, transportation, meal vouchers or on-site cafeteria, dental plan, health plan, and life insurance.
