Units Will Be Made Possible by the Entities Modality in 23 Municipalities Across 12 States

The Ministry of Cities has published the authorization for the construction of 1,863 housing units through the My House, My Life program, in the Entities modality. This measure benefits low-income families and will be carried out in partnership with nonprofit organizations in various regions of the country.

Housing Will Be Distributed in 12 States

The new phase of the program will encompass 23 municipalities distributed across 12 Brazilian states. According to CBIC, Minas Gerais will receive the highest number of housing units, with 536 authorized units, followed by Paraíba, with 345, and Bahia, with 250. Other states benefiting include Pernambuco, Goiás, Maranhão, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, Sergipe, São Paulo, and Tocantins.

Entities Modality Expands Social Reach with Construction in Various States

The Entities modality allows community associations and nonprofit social organizations to propose the construction of housing complexes for families in vulnerable situations. The official authorization was published in Ordinance No. 366, on April 11, 2025, in the Official Gazette. The formalization of contracts will be done through Caixa Econômica Federal, which will be responsible for overseeing the works and releasing the funds.

Benefits for Communities with Construction and Local Economy

In addition to providing dignified housing for low-income families, the program is expected to stimulate the civil construction sector in the municipalities involved. The generation of direct and indirect jobs, as well as the dynamization of the local economy, are anticipated effects with the start of the works. The initiative also contributes to reducing the housing deficit in the country and strengthening the role of social entities in public housing policy.

Next Steps of the Program

With the official authorization, the selected entities are eligible to sign contracts and begin works in the coming months. Each project will follow the technical and operational procedures established by the My House, My Life program, with special attention to deadline compliance, quality in construction, and assistance to the beneficiary families. This measure reinforces the government’s commitment to expanding access to housing throughout the national territory.
