“We are discussing the government contract with the Gas Company, the contract is modern, and we will consolidate the company in March or April. The State is the holder of the company’s control, the State will continue participating, but will relinquish the company’s control. This decision is important because a privately controlled company in a competitive market like the gas market will allow us to be more agile,” said the governor.
He stated that as soon as the company is consolidated, he will send the project to the Legislative Assembly. “BR Distribuidora will manage the company for a while until it sells its control. The State will continue participating in management, but control will be private, which will give us the ability to attract more enterprises and more investment,” evaluated Casagrande.
He did not specify how much of the shares will be put up for sale or how much will remain with the State. Currently, ES Gás is chaired by Heber Resende. – The content from Tribuna Online is protected under Brazilian copyright law.
