The State Government of Mato Grosso, with the Mais MT program, aims to improve public service, and one of these improvements is the use of solar energy
The State Government of Mato Grosso intends to improve the application and management of resources. To this end, the State will invest in the Mais MT program, a total of R$ 404.3 million in the program’s axes. The government also wants to modernize public properties with the installation of panels for solar energy generation.

The Seplag – State Secretariat of Planning and Management will oversee the works and the investment of R$ 404 million, which will be allocated to: restoration of public buildings – R$ 65 million; more efficient acquisitions – R$ 4.5 million; solar energy generation – R$ 150 million; cost reduction – R$ 4.8 million; Digital Government programs – R$ 110 million and Zero Rent – R$ 70 million.
Basílio Bezerra, Secretary of Seplag, says that “The Mais MT is a visionary program in terms of infrastructure, modernization of the public machine, and investments. It will bring more efficiency to management, facilitate and simplify access to public services with high quality.”

Additionally, the Mais MT investment will include the construction of new public buildings. In this way, the State Government of Mato Grosso intends to save more costs, for example, by reducing expenses with rent.
The program will also invest in technology, such as Digital Government, which aims to facilitate access for citizens. Basílio says, “The goal is to facilitate access. With the digitization of services, taxes, and processes, we will optimize the time of citizens and servers. No paper, no queues, it is more efficient, secure, and swift. Truly, a great success case for the Government of Mato Grosso.”
The Mais MT program will be the largest investment by the State of Mato Grosso and thus R$ 9.5 billion will be allocated to the following sectors:

- Education;
- Social and Housing;
- Economic Development;
- Employment and Income;
- Infrastructure;
- Tourism;
- Culture, Sports, and Leisure;
- Simplifica MT;
- Public Efficiency;
- Environment;
- Family Agriculture;
- Land Regularization.
