Mubadala Group acquires the RLAM refinery in Bahia for US$1,65 billion

In addition to the RLAM in Bahia, Petrobras received binding proposals for the sale of the Presidente Getúlio Vargas Refinery (REPAR), in Paraná

Petrobras informed in a material fact this morning (08/02) that it concluded the negotiation phase with the Mubadala Group within the scope of the process for divestment of the Landulpho Alves Refinery (RLAM) and its associated logistical assets, in Bahia. According to the Petrobras report, Mubadala Capital presented the best final offer, in the amount of US$ 1,65 billion. The signing of the purchase and sale agreement is still subject to approval by the competent authorities.

Other Petrobras divestments in addition to RLAM – Bahia

Petrobras also received binding proposals for the sale of the Presidente Getúlio Vargas Refinery (REPAR), in Paraná, but decided to close the process, since the conditions of the proposals submitted fell short of Petrobras' economic and financial assessment.

Thus, the state-owned company will timely start a new competitive process for this refinery.

Also in progress, with a view to signing the purchase and sale contracts, the competitive sales processes:

  • Alberto Pasqualini Refinery (REFAP), in Rio Grande do Sul
  • Isaac Sabbá Refinery (REMAN), in the Amazon
  • Abreu e Lima Refinery (RNEST), in Pernambuco
  • Gabriel Passos Refinery (REGAP), in Minas Gerais
  • Lubricants and Petroleum Derivatives of the Northeast (LUBNOR), in Ceará
  • Shale Industrialization Unit (SIX), in Paraná.

Petrobras reinforces its commitment to the broad transparency of its divestment projects and portfolio management and informs that the subsequent stages will be disclosed to the market.
