Hyundai promotional campaign promises to shake up the Brazilian market with aggressive discounts on the Creta and bonuses of up to R$ 85,000 on the Palisade, increasing pressure on rivals like Volkswagen T-Cross, Nissan Kicks, and other compact and large SUVs leading sales in the country

The competition in the SUV segment has regained strength in Brazil. Amid the rapid growth of Chinese automakers and the increasingly intense competition among compact sport utility vehicles, Hyundai has decided to respond with an aggressive pricing strategy. The brand has launched a new national campaign offering significant discounts on models well-known to the Brazilian public, especially the Hyundai Creta.

The information was released by “Garagem360,” which detailed the special conditions of CAOA Day, a promotional event promoted by the CAOA group. The action brings together offers for brand-new vehicles, pre-owned cars, and after-sales services at Hyundai dealerships across Brazil.

Moreover, the campaign takes place at an important moment for the national automotive sector. This is because the competition among compact SUVs has become even fiercer after the arrival of new Chinese models in the Brazilian market, forcing traditional brands to review prices, equipment, and commercial strategies.

The promotional event will take place on May 16 and will feature the discounts applied to the Hyundai Creta, one of the best-selling SUVs in Brazil today, as the main highlight.

Hyundai bets on aggressive discounts to increase Creta sales

Among the models participating in the campaign, the Hyundai Creta stands out as one of the main bets of the South Korean automaker. The SUV received significant discounts in different versions, especially in configurations aimed at the disabled public (PcD) and also in intermediate variants.

The Hyundai Creta Comfort 25/26, for example, the first version above the Action configuration and highly sought after by the disabled public (PcD), had a significant price reduction.

The model has a suggested public price of R$ 156,590. However, during CAOA Day, the SUV will be sold for R$ 129,990. Thus, the discount applied amounts to exactly R$ 26,600.

According to the information released, this special condition is exclusively valid for consumers who meet the sales rules intended for the disabled public (PcD).

Additionally, Hyundai also reduced the price of the Hyundai Creta Limited version. In this case, the SUV went from R$ 173,390 to R$ 149,990, accumulating a discount of R$ 23,400.

Adding the discounts of the two versions of the Hyundai Creta, the total comes close to R$ 50,000 during the national campaign organized by CAOA.

With this, the automaker tries to further increase the competitiveness of the Creta against extremely strong direct rivals in the Brazilian market, such as Volkswagen T-Cross, Nissan Kicks, and Chevrolet Tracker.

In addition to the price reduction, Hyundai also seeks to increase the flow of customers in dealerships spread across the country, taking advantage of the heated moment in the compact SUV segment.

Hyundai Palisade gets an impressive discount of R$ 85,000

If the Creta already attracts attention with high discounts, the Hyundai Palisade stands out as the major financial highlight of the promotional campaign.

Hyundai’s large SUV had its price reduced from R$ 479,990 to R$ 394,990. Thus, the discount applied by the brand reaches an impressive R$ 85,000.

Additionally, customers who close a deal during the event’s Saturday will also receive free documentation, according to information released by CAOA.

Despite being one of the brand’s most sophisticated SUVs in Brazil, the Hyundai Palisade still has a discreet presence in the national market. Data presented by the campaign indicate that the model has sold only 61 units in 2026 so far.

Even so, Hyundai bets on the large SUV as an alternative for consumers seeking high internal space, refined finish, and robust engine.

The Hyundai Palisade measures:

  • 4,995 mm in length
  • 1,975 mm in width
  • 1,750 mm in height
  • 2,900 mm wheelbase
  • 203 mm ground clearance

Additionally, the SUV offers capacity for up to eight occupants, a feature that differentiates it within the premium segment of large sports utilities sold in Brazil.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Palisade uses a 3.8 V6 gasoline engine.

The mechanical set delivers:

  • 295 hp of power
  • 36 kgfm of torque
  • eight-speed automatic transmission
  • all-wheel drive

With these numbers, the model bets on comfort, performance, and internal space to try to win over more Brazilian consumers.

SUV War Heats Up in Brazil Amid the Rise of Chinese Brands

Hyundai’s new commercial offensive comes at a time of transformation in the Brazilian automotive market. In recent years, Chinese brands have rapidly increased their share in the SUV segment, mainly with electrified models and competitive prices.

In this scenario, traditional manufacturers have intensified promotions, expanded equipment lists, and reduced margins to maintain market share.

The Hyundai Creta, for example, currently faces extremely strong competitors. Among them are Volkswagen T-Cross, Nissan Kicks, Chevrolet Tracker, Honda HR-V, and several Chinese SUVs that are rapidly advancing in Brazil.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai Palisade is trying to gain ground among larger and more sophisticated SUVs, a segment that still has a smaller sales volume in the country but targets consumers with higher purchasing power.

The information was released by “Garagem360”, which highlighted that Hyundai’s strategy during CAOA Day represents a clear attempt to further strengthen the brand’s presence in the Brazilian SUV market.

Moreover, the high discounts show that the competition between automakers is expected to remain intense throughout 2026, especially in the sports utility vehicle segment.

With discounts reaching up to R$ 85,000, Hyundai’s campaign promises to stir dealerships across Brazil and increase pressure on traditional rivals in the automotive sector.

If you had the opportunity to choose today between Hyundai Creta, T-Cross, or Nissan Kicks, which SUV would you take home and why?
