Used Hyundai HB20 R spec and Sport cost between R$ 57,793 and R$ 80,849 in the Fipe Table. Compare prices, engines, transmissions, and equipment.

Those looking for a used hatchback with a sporty appearance will find examples of the used HB20 R spec and Sport evaluated between R$ 57,793 and R$ 80,849 in the Fipe Table. The range includes models manufactured between 2016 and 2022, divided between versions with a 1.6 aspirated engine and more recent configurations equipped with a 1.0 turbo engine.

The R$ 23,056 difference between the cheapest and most expensive model is not only related to the year of manufacture. Automatic transmission, turbo engine, digital dashboard, electronic controls, and connectivity features also influence the appreciation of the newer versions.

Despite the sporty appearance, these configurations were not developed as high-performance cars. Hyundai’s proposal was to combine the well-known mechanics of the HB20 with exclusive colors, wheels, trims, and visual elements.

How much does each used Hyundai HB20 R spec and Sport cost?

According to the Fipe Table values in June 2026, the most affordable model is the 2016 HB20 R spec 1.6 manual, valued at R$ 57,793. At the top of the list is the 2022 HB20 Sport 1.0 turbo automatic, priced at R$ 80,849.

Check the prices by year and version:

HB20 R spec 1.6 manual 2016: R$ 57,793
HB20 R spec 1.6 automatic 2016: R$ 61,195
HB20 R spec 1.6 manual 2017: R$ 59,688
HB20 R spec 1.6 automatic 2017: R$ 63,254
HB20 R spec 1.6 automatic 2018: R$ 64,956
HB20 R spec Limited 1.6 automatic 2018: R$ 65,865
HB20 R spec 1.6 automatic 2019: R$ 67,871
HB20 Sport 1.0 turbo automatic 2021: R$ 77,238
HB20 Sport 1.0 turbo automatic 2022: R$ 80,849

The numbers show that the generation change caused the most significant jump on the list. Between the 2019 R spec automatic and the 2021 Sport, the difference is R$ 9,367.

R spec 2016 is the entry option

For those who wish to spend less, the 2016 manual HB20 R spec opens the list with a price of R$ 57,793. The automatic version of the same year costs R$ 61,195, a difference of R$ 3,402. In 2017, the manual model appears for R$ 59,688, while the automatic configuration reaches R$ 63,254.

In this case, the type of transmission directly affects the investment. The manual gearbox reduces the entry price, while the automatic transmission offers greater convenience in traffic for a higher value.

The five-speed manual transmission was no longer offered in 2018. From this line onwards, the related R spec models began using a six-speed automatic transmission.

R spec Limited had a production of 600 units

Among the 2018 models, the HB20 R spec Limited stands out for its production restricted to 600 units. The version is valued at R$ 65,865 in the Fipe Table.

The conventional automatic R spec of the same year costs R$ 64,956. Thus, the limited edition presents a difference of R$ 909. The exclusive configuration received rear spoilers, side skirts, and seats upholstered in red leather. These elements were added to the visual set already offered in the R spec series.

The reduced production may increase the interest of buyers who value rarity. On the other hand, specific finishing components may be more difficult to find for immediate replacement.

1.6 Engine equips the R spec models

The R spec versions produced between 2016 and 2019 use a 1.6 16V flex aspirated engine. The set develops 128 hp and 16.5 kgfm of torque. Depending on the year, it works with a five-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2019 automatic version, the last R spec presented in the survey, is priced at R$ 67,871.

This set represents the first phase of the sporty versions of the HB20. The proposal combines adequate performance for everyday use with a visual identity different from conventional configurations.

Hyundai HB20 Sport adopts 1.0 turbo engine

In the second generation of the hatch, the Sport version replaced the 1.6 aspirated engine with the 1.0 turbo flex engine.

The new engine delivers 120 hp and 17.5 kgfm of torque. Although it has a lower numerical power, it offers higher torque than the previous engine and provides faster responses during accelerations.

The six-speed automatic transmission is the only option available among the related Sport models.

In the Fipe Table, the 2021 HB20 Sport costs R$ 77,238. The 2022 model appears for R$ 80,849, a difference of R$ 3,611.

The switch to the turbo engine was not accompanied by a structural change in the suspension calibration. The model maintained a proposal aimed at conventional urban and road use.

Equipment advanced in the most recent versions

Regardless of the year, the sporty configurations of the HB20 have basic items such as front airbags, ABS brakes, onboard computer, and switchblade key. The multimedia center became part of the standard equipment of the R spec family with the 2018 Limited version.

The greatest technological evolution occurred with the arrival of the HB20 Sport in 2021. The version incorporated a fully digital instrument panel, automatic air conditioning, and smartphone charging by induction.

The package also includes electronic stability and traction controls, as well as a multimedia center with updated connectivity features. This broader offer helps explain the price difference between the latest R spec models and the Sport models.

Sporty look is concentrated in the finish

The R spec and Sport series were created to give the HB20 a more aggressive appearance without turning it into a track-ready vehicle. In the R spec version, Hyundai adopted the Chilli red color, glossy black grille, red brake calipers, and shark fin antenna.

The set also includes 15-inch diamond wheels, aluminum pedals, and black leather seats with red details. These elements differentiate the hatch on the streets, but the engine, transmission, and suspension remain aimed at everyday use needs.

The buyer should consider, therefore, that the term sporty is more related to visual presentation than to deep performance modifications.

What to observe before buying?

Besides the prices from the Fipe Table, the choice between used Hyundai HB20 R spec and Sport should consider the condition of each unit.

Wheels, seats, grille, spoilers, side skirts, and other exclusive components need to be carefully evaluated. Replacing certain decorative parts can be more difficult, especially in limited production series.

The interior space and trunk capacity should also be analyzed by those intending to use the vehicle with passengers or luggage frequently. Another relevant cost is insurance. The value may vary according to the region, the driver’s profile, and the car’s usage conditions.

R spec or Sport: which to choose?

The HB20 R spec caters to buyers interested in a sporty-looking hatch with a lower acquisition cost. The 2016 and 2017 versions remain below R$ 64,000, including automatic configurations.

The 2018 R spec Limited may attract those seeking greater exclusivity, due to production limited to 600 units. The buyer, however, needs to consider the availability of specific finishes.

On the other hand, the HB20 Sport offers a turbo engine and a more technological cabin. Digital panel, induction charger, automatic air conditioning, and stability and traction controls raise the level of equipment, but also push the price to the range of R$ 77,000 to R$ 80,000.

Among the used HB20 R spec and Sport, the choice will depend on the available budget, the desired type of engine, and the importance given to technological features.

Summary of engines and transmissions

HB20 R spec from 2016 to 2019
Engine: 1.6 16V flex aspirated
Power: 128 hp
Torque: 16.5 kgfm

HB20 Sport 2021 and 2022

With prices ranging from R$ 57,793 to R$ 80,849, the sportier versions occupy different segments of the used car market. The R spec offers cheaper access to the exclusive finish, while the Sport requires a higher investment in exchange for a turbo engine, connectivity, and electronic equipment.
