Federal Institute Opens 2,000 Spots for Free Online Course (EAD) in First Aid in the School Environment

The IFSULDEMINAS Federal Institute announced the opening of 2,000 spots for the free online course (EAD) in first aid in the school environment. The initiative is part of the Notice No. 235/2024 and aims to train teachers and staff from public and private schools in accordance with the Lucas Law (Law No. 13,722/18), as part of the Capacita Sul de Minas Program.

The course is aimed at early childhood and basic education professionals, ensuring greater safety in the school environment by training participants in first aid procedures. With a workload of 120 hours, the training includes theoretical and practical classes, as well as discussion forums and assessments. Topics covered include cardiac arrest, burns, and transportation of the injured, all essential for emergency situations.

Distribution of Spots and National Scope

The 2,000 spots offered by the course will be filled by teachers and staff from schools across Brazil, as the course will be fully online. This allows participants to enroll and complete the training from any location with internet access, expanding opportunities for continued education in the educational sector.

Course Selection Process

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of spots, the selection process will be conducted via electronic lottery. All candidates who meet the requirements will be eligible to compete, and there are no reserved spots for quotas or affirmative actions. The selection will be open to early childhood and basic education professionals from all over the country.

Requirements to Participate

Interested individuals must be teachers or staff from public or private schools, working in early childhood or basic education. A higher education degree is not required, but access to the internet is essential, as the course will be offered entirely remotely. Additionally, it is necessary to correctly fill out the electronic form to confirm the enrollment.
