The Paraíba complex, which will come online between 2022 and 2023, will be located near the city of Santa Luzia, in one of the windiest areas of the Americas. This large renewable installation will consist of a total of 18 wind farms, three of which are already operating — Canoas, Lagoa I, and Lagoa II — and another 15 are in different phases of development. In the meeting, the state executive head presented the economic potential of Paraíba and the state’s capacity for renewable energy generation.
“We have one of the best solarimetric indexes in Brazil, a great capacity for wind energy generation, and we already have parks being implemented in the state, in addition to investments in transmission lines,” he reports.
The governor enriched the discussion with details about the Cabo Branco Tourism Hub projects, where tourist activities and even resorts are under development. “Paraíba is open for new investments, and we are ready to contribute in the best possible way,” said Governor João Azevedo.
