Industry week brought several innovations and advances for the sector. In addition to partnerships established for social projects, there was also intense promotion of training and debates on the role of women in the construction industry. Partnership Between SENAI-MS, the City Hall, and the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul Trains Riverbank Communities in Outboard Motor Maintenance Course in Corumbá
SENAI-MS, in partnership with the City Hall and the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, conducted an outboard motor maintenance course, training 50 riverbank residents. The classes were held from January 17 to 20, in the Pantanal communities, in Corumbá. This initiative significantly contributed to the development of industrial activity in the region, promoting the growth and training of the professionals involved.
Development of Training for Outboard Motors and Industrial Activity at Senai Corumbá
Herlon Souza Sommerfeld, technical coordinator of Senai Corumbá, highlights the importance of outboard motor training for the riverbank region. With a workload of 17 hours, the course was taught to two classes and is essential for those living in the area, using the boat as a means of transportation. According to him, the outboard motor is vital for the riverbank community, which has as its economic activity the fishing and hospitality sector. Women’s Participation in the SESI First Lego League Robotics Tournament
The number of girls on the teams of the SESI First Lego League Robotics Tournament grows with each edition. In 2023, students participated in various proposals, from accessibility initiatives to cultural incentives. For example, student Livia Andrade, from the Muiraquitech team at SESI Santarém, developed a virtual reality app to promote indigenous artistic expressions in Santarém, Pará. The app will operate through virtual reality, providing knowledge to the local and external population. Women’s Employment in Construction Discussed by FIEG
The presence of women in construction was widely discussed at the Seminar on Women in the Productive Chain of Construction, promoted by FIEG. The event included the presence of lawmakers, municipal secretaries, and business and third-sector leaders. The vice president of FIEG, Emílio Bittar, emphasized the importance of diversity in the industrial sector, praising the unique contributions of women.
