The Federal Institute (IFSP) Opened Spots for Free Technical Courses Focused on High-Demand Areas in the Job Market. Applications Are Online and Free.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), São Paulo Campus, is open for applications for free courses in technical training. Through Notice No. 88/2025, the institution launched a simplified selection process for the filling of remaining spots in courses aimed at areas with high employability.

Free Technical Courses Offered by IFSP Focus on Technology, Services, and Infrastructure
In total, 96 spots are available for technical courses in the Concurrent and Subsequent to High School modalities.
This means that both students currently enrolled in High School and those who have already graduated can participate.

- Industrial Automation Technician: 10 spots (Night)
- Buildings Technician: 26 spots — with 6 in the evening and 20 in the afternoon
- Mechanical Technician: 33 spots (Afternoon)
- Restaurant and Bar Services Technician: 27 spots (Morning)
All courses are offered in person at the São Paulo Campus, one of the most traditional units of the federal technical and technological education network.
Requirements to Participate in the Selection Process of the Federal Institute
Each course at the Federal Institute has specific requirements regarding the candidate’s education and age.
To apply for spots in Industrial Automation, Mechanical or Restaurant and Bar Services, candidates must be enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of High School or have already completed it.
For the Restaurant and Bar Services course, there is an additional criterion: the candidate must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment.
For the Buildings Technician course, students in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of High School are allowed to apply, as well as those who have completed this level of education.
All details about the eligibility criteria are described in the notice, whose reading is mandatory to ensure compliance with the rules of the process.
Online and Free Applications Are Open Until August 11, 2025
The applications for the selection process of the Federal Institute must be made exclusively online, without any fee charged.
The application period is from August 6 to 11, 2025. To participate, candidates must fill out an electronic form and attach the documents required in the notice, as listed in item 4.6.

Electronic Draw Determines the Selected Candidates for the Free Technical Courses of the Federal Institute
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available spots in each course, the selection will be made through a public electronic draw.
This stage ensures greater fairness in the process and expands the chances of participation for a more diverse audience.
The draw will take place on August 12, 2025, and the result with the names of the approved candidates will be announced the following day, August 13, directly on the website of the São Paulo Campus of the Federal Institute (IFSP).
Those who are selected will need to enroll between August 13 and 15.
Classes are set to begin on August 18, 2025, marking the start of the journey for new students at an institution recognized nationally for the quality of free technical education.
