Presented in November 2025 by a Chinese creator, the Ningtendo PXBOX 5 project integrates PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 into a single functional unit, with a 250-watt power supply, centralized cooling, and physical switching between platforms in about 3 seconds
The “Ningtendo PXBOX 5” project, presented by a Chinese creator in November 2025, integrates PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 into a single unit, aiming to reduce cables, inputs, and physical swaps required by exclusive ecosystems that force gamers to maintain multiple hardware.
Convergence of Closed Ecosystems in a Single Chassis
Under the same roof, three historically rival platforms coexist. The device brings together consoles that remain protected by closed ecosystems, in which Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo rarely share major titles.
The proposal addresses a recurring frustration among console gamers: the need to acquire separate hardware to access exclusive games, in addition to managing multiple cables and constantly switching video inputs.

Instead of accepting this reality, the creator identified as 小宁子 XNZ redesigned the experience from the ground up. The system was initially revealed in a video and has only recently gained attention outside of China.
Internal Architecture and Engineering Decisions
Development began with the complete disassembly of the three consoles down to their main components. Original cooling systems and power supplies were removed and replaced with a shared internal design.
A single central fan now cools all platforms. The power supply is provided by a single 250-watt source, sufficient because only one console operates at a time.
This sequential operation prevents overheating and excessive power consumption, allowing the integration to function reliably in daily use, despite the limitations imposed by the compact form factor.
Format and Functionality Trade-offs
The triangular chassis reflects the physical constraints of the design. To accommodate the components, significant trade-offs were necessary, including the absence of drive units.
Both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X operate exclusively in digital versions. The internal space does not accommodate physical drives, limiting compatibility to digital libraries.
Even with these restrictions, the system prioritizes everyday practicality over expansion. The proposal does not foresee mass production or commercialization, existing as a proof of technical concept.
Integration of Nintendo Switch 2 and Hybrid Solution
The Nintendo Switch 2 represented the biggest challenge of the set. Its hybrid nature requires operation both in handheld mode and connected to a television, which is complex to integrate into the same device.
The solution involved a custom 3D-printed structure. The case accommodates the motherboard of the Switch 2 and preserves its handheld functionality, while allowing docking without compromising the overall layout.
This adaptation ensured that the console retained its original flexibility within a unified system, without requiring additional external accessories.
Platform Switching and Practical Demonstration
The switch between consoles is controlled by a physical button located on the top of the device. When pressed, the system switches the active platform in approximately 3 seconds.
The process does not require cable switching, eliminating one of the main physical inconveniences reported by gamers. The video demonstrates quick transitions between games such as Donkey Kong Bananza and Ghost of Yotei, highlighting the fluidity of the switching.
Technical Significance and Limits of the Project
The “Ningtendo PXBOX 5” does not eliminate platform exclusives nor unify digital stores or user accounts. Its impact lies in the removal of physical inconveniences associated with the simultaneous use of multiple consoles.
The experiment showcases what becomes possible when hardware limitations give way to customized engineering, as well as reflecting the growing frustration with fragmented ecosystems.
For most gamers, keeping three separate consoles remains the most practical option. For the creator, the project proves that integration is feasible, although restricted to a technical experiment, not a final consumer product.
