This is stated in the decision of the Board of Directors of Eletrobras approved on the 23rd, called the Business and Management Master Plan or PDNG 2021-2025. The plan considers the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on the sector and is developed based on the evaluation of future scenarios and trends, both economic and technological, social, and corporate.
According to a statement released by Eletrobras, aiming to overcome the challenges posed by the current scenario and achieve its strategic objectives, a series of strategic initiatives are outlined, among which are:
– Evaluation and implementation of alternatives for capitalization of Eletrobras, primarily based on enabling PL 5.877/2019, the privatization of the company;
– Continuation of the rationalization process of holdings in SPEs, reaching a total of 49 holdings by December 2021;
– Enabling the completion of Angra 3, through the realization of an international public call;
– Implementation of a high-performance culture, based on a diagnosis of the current cultures in the companies and the creation of an action plan aimed at guiding them toward a culture of excellence and focus on results.
